2005 Mitsubishi Colt Plus 1.6 petrol. The tailgate button is not working. Gives 4 beeps - no action. Is it set to 'manual only' somewhere? Used to work. Fuse OK.

I found this for the Outlander. There is a Disable button.

Electric Tailgate not working?

Sat Sep 20, 2014 10:34 pm
This might just save a phev owner some embarrassment. Before you call your dealer to complain that the electric tailgate is broken and just beeps (4 times) when you press the dashboard, keyfob or tailgate buttons: there is a disable button slightly hidden just above the cupholders, next to the slot you put the key fob in. It is shown on page 4-20 in the owner's manual.

Orange light on dash showing a fan

Need to have it scanned. If you get a PO420 or PO430, it's the cat. converter which is a manifold converter. Must change spark plugs also. Misfire in engine

Connect an AUX cable

Use the speaker output and plug it into the mic socket. Not ideal but the alternative is to buy a cheap adaptor for the end of the aux cable so that you can plug your speaker output into the aux input.

Eps light coming on

1. disconnect the battery both terminals.
2.Look for EPS control module on front passanger deck below dashboard, disconnect the cable connector
3, spray both EPS and cable connector with contact cleaner aerosol.immediately plug in back.
4. Right above EPS module there are Air Con piping make sure the condensate water do not dripped onto EPS module by covering it with plastic sheet.
5. Spray all cables to battery terminal with contact cleaner and connect it back.
6. Start your engine .
In case it still dont work ,you have to look further into EPS motor.
Hope it will solve your problem at least it work for me.

The plug works because the socket switch is turned on and the volume control button is green but when I plug in the auxiliary cable there's no sound? Is there something wrong with the inside of the...

Was the second aux cable you tried new or old? If both aux cables were older, you might possibly want to try (not necessarily buy) plugging in a new one. If you have done that: How old is this receiver? Brand new or older, if older it could be build-up inside the jack causing a break in the connection between jack and aux cable. If this is the case then a simple cleaning with a Q-tip and some alcohol could help immensely. If that's not the case, it sounds like you could have a short in the jack.

I have a denon ipod dock and a harman/kardon receiver. Can I connect the dock to the receiver?

To plug the dock into the receiver to supply power and interface with the iPod you would have to have one with a built in iPod. Most receivers will not do that, the most common way to connect an iPod to a receiver is using a 3.5mm to RCA cable. You don't even need the dock to do this, you can plug the iPod directly in. You can find this cable at most electronics shops if you don't want to buy online, like Best Buy or Radioshack.
Make sure you connect the white and the red end of the RCA cable to the correct sockets on your receiver, and the small 3.5mm jack into the iPod or the iPod dock, you have to turn the iPod volume up and select the corresponding input on your receiver. If you plugged the 2 RCA jacks (white & red) into the socket labeled "AUX" or "Video 1" you have to select "AUX" or "Video 1" in order to hear the sound.

Mitubishi cannot find the answer, only suggestion was to spend £150 on a new key , however the problem has now occured with both of the keys !

I have got the new plugs and socket , but the socket wont fit down the hole

There are different sockter sizes for the different size plugs.
Do yo have the right one?
Also you might need a thin walled socket - yes they have these.
That would fall under great engineering!

Where is the aux plug for this radio; Eclipse's optional Rockford Fosgate premium audio system

The Mitsubishi Eclipse with the Rockford Fosgate premium audio system does not actually have an aux plug. When you are scrolling through the sources, one of them listed is an AUX. This implies that there is a headphone jack somewhere in the vehicle where you can plug an iPod into and play it through the system. The port, however, was never actually installed on all pre-2009 eclipses.

The only way to access this feature of the stereo is to obtain an AUX cable from the mitsubishi dealer, which will be a wire harness that connects to the back of the head unit and provides an additional AUX port cable allowing you to plug in your iPod. You can talk to your local mitsubishi dealer about the cable, from what I hear, its rather expensive, and then go to best buy, somewhere similar, to have them install it.
