I need webcam drivers for compaq presario CQ45-120tx laptop,vista

Go to the HP Support site on the web and get yourself to the 'Drivers and Downloads" main page. Type in the p/n (product number) in the provided box and click go/arrow...whatever. When you're at your laptop's entry page for drivers, enter Vista as your operating system. If you're running 64 Bit W7 enter Vista 64. Almost all Vista Drivers work with W7. Look through the list of drivers until you find webcam/camera software/driver link. Download by SAVING to your desktop. Do not run the driver install from the HP/Compaq site. Double click the driver app icon on your desktop and follow the prompts. That should have you squared away.

Then you need to get another disk to reinstall the operating system.

go to google and search hp webcam driver, because compaq is owned by hp and you will get a driver and all there drivers work on all computers

Webcam driver probably did not install properly.

Go to Device Manager. Unistall the Webcam. Reboot.

Vista will scan for new hardware, locate the Webcam and reinstall the driver.

You have to download XP drivers from the manufacturer's website. This normally happens because your harware was designed for the new OS(Vista).

Just go to hp.com and search for the model of your Laptop.
