My Black Bull MBS45 bandsaw has a poor assembly manual, all was finally put together, but the pulley shroud fits way too loose and no other parts are left to make it a more secure fit. Is there a better manual or schematic drawing I can use to make sure I used the parts correctly? I bought the saw from TractorSupply in North Carolina, unfortunately they do not use a display model to compare my saw with.

Black bull doesn't have customer service? I've heard that there are lots of problems with blade alignment on that band saw. I have Trajan 712 band saw and it was easy to install it. Read this thing from
google. http://www.google.com/patents/US6739231

Mbs45 blade undercuts out of square, twist in 2x2 1/8" tubing

I believe Black bull band saw is a Taiwan imported saw. They are even cheaper to HF band saws. This band saw have so many issues; make sure you align the guides, tune it up and use good bi metal band saw blades. I suggest you use the Haltbar 601 bi metal blade. I'm using Haltbar and I'm getting really nice cut.

When peddeling ec3000 cateye ergociser bike it has good tension but after a few revolutions it lets go and free wheels.

Sounds like the belt is loose on the pulleys? Maybe something else, but you have to get inside it to check.

* Refer to the service manual (the EC3200 is almost the same as a EC3000) for hints :Page 4,5,19,20. Read this manual.
http://d3f8w3yx9w99q2.cloudfront.net/1952/Cateye-Fitness-EC-3200-Stationary-Bike/Cateye_Fitness_EC-3200_Stationary_Bike_Service_Manual.pdf
* Take out every screw holding the white plastic cover and the crank bottom bracket cover. Also take off the screws that hold the black seat post and handle bar post covers together. Now the covers should come apart to access the guts.
* Inside there is a belt system and chain system.
* Belt system: Check there are no loose nuts on the axles that connect to the pulleys. If there are, try to pull the pulley so that belt is tensioned as you tighten the nut.
* If the plastic teeth are loose on the big belt pulley (that's bad), you may have to try to glue it back to the metal part of the pulley. Don't be sloppy and get glue on the teeth... A runny epoxy may be able to get into the interface between the plastic teeth and metal part.
* If the belt is worn out you may be able to find it with a WWW search or from an industrial supplier like
McMaster Carr
https://www.sdp-si.com/eStore/CoverPg/Drive_Components.htm
* Chain system: Check the chain freewheel (the small one) is working correctly.

Bandsaw loses power

You neeed to check the motor, capacitor, drive pulleys. Check thoroughly if there are loose set screws, loose
tires or sqealing bearings.
Change the belt out for a link-belt so you don't have any stiff areas causing a vibration when they hit the pulleys.
Poorly balance wheels or worn tires are another cause of excessive vibe.
The motor can be not effective anymore, you should get more powerful motor. Try to call Tech Support too.

Water pump replacement procedures

This my proceduces of replacing the water pump, hope help.
1. First I removed the Air Intake tube.
2. Then I unscrewed the Fan Shroud. One bolt on either side at the top. The shroud slides in at the bottom.
3. Using rental tools, I loosened the main fan nut(shown). Yes, I am aware I still have the belt on.
3A. Fan and shroud removed

4. Loosen the Fan Pulley bolts. Having the belt still on puts tension on said pulley making it easier to get the bolts loose and off.
5. With the bolts loosened on the pulley, I removed the Serp. Belt
5A. Removing bolts
5B. Everything removed so far.
6. I removed the Idler Pulley(pulley to the right of the alternator) for easier access to the water pump bolts. Saved some time and knuckles.
7. I drained the radiator. The drain plug is the plastic, white wing nut at the bottom, middle of the picture. It is just below the black tab the shroud slides into.
8. I removed all the bolts on the water pump. I believe there were 12 of them. Take your time. It's slow going and a bit frustrating. Here is a pic of the water pump removed.
8A. If you remove the lower Radiator Hose at the radiator, you can drain more of the coolant and avoid making a bit of a mess like I did.
9. I cleaned the sealing surface of the block with a scraper and a scouring pad. Again, take your time and be patient. You want a good seal.
10. New pump on along with the Fan Pulley. I tightened down the bolts in as criss-cross a pattern as I could. Use torque specs per shop manual.
11. After I put everything back together, I did a flush of the system until I got clear water out of the bottom hose. It takes a few cycles but again, worth the effort. Fill with fresh coolant and burp the system. I also changed the radiator hoses and the thermostat at this time as well.

Will Delta Belt fit Mastercraft Band Saw

If you still have the old belt, take it to a well equipped hardware or auto parts store for a replacement. If the previous belt is missing, you will need to measure the pulley 'V' width at the top of the 'V', the center to center measurement of the two shafts, and the outer diameters of the two pulleys. Hope this helps!
