Remote start (posibly)

Went to start truck this morning (ford f150-2001 crew cab) with remote start. it tryed to start didn't. went out to manuly start. started truck, let run 5 minutes turned truck off got out used remote start (don"t like leaving keys in truck cold outside) when trying to start, started klicking, sa if it were the battery conection or starter. went back to truck to manuly start, continued to klick. I removed battery terminals cleaned well, replaced them still clicking. banged on starter with a hammer, same klicking. don't think its starter. checked batery conectionson from battery to fire wall, (positive- negitive hook up from battery to fire wall don't know what it is, box and wires on wall klicking from there). also checked fuse box in moter compartment klicking there too. Thinking posibly it could be a fuse for remote start. If so ware is the fuse located? your thoughts please. rick, in cleveland.

Your battery is almost certainly flat.

When you start the engine, the starter motor takes a large bite of power out of the battery. It takes a long time to put that power back.

So, you tried to start with remote start and it did'nt fire up. This took a big bite.
Then you started manually. This took another big bite.

The engine started though, and the alternator began the mamoth task of putting two start attempts worth of power back into the battery.

After 5 minuites, you interupted the alternator and switched off.

Now the battery will be really ill!

You really need to get a jump start from a vehicle with a battery which is about as big as yours.

Connect the leads from the good battery to yours, making sure that the donor vehicle is running. Then walk away and have a coffee. Come back and try your truck again. It should start ok.

If your battery has done this even once, can it be trusted again? If its more than 3 years old, get a new one fitted.

Hope this helps!

2000 ford f250 ac not cooling at idle cools good going down the road new system and new clutch fan and two electric fans ford put everything new on this truck

What this sounds like is an under charged unit. If you just had the work done then there is a posibility that they under charged it or it has developed a leak. That is posible. Hope this helps and good luck.

Injectors problem

Injector maybe but i'd check the glow plugs if they are not working in some cylinders it could act the same way, only allowing a couple cylinders to preheat the fuel mixture for easier ignition, if it runs fine after it warms up the injectors are probably ok

Hard Starting in morning

Do mean you have hard time communicating with a scanner at the OBDII connector, if so make sure you power at pin16 at diagnostic connector, also we have seen issue with glowplugs not working properly causing hard start when cold and starts fine after warm-up
You can check for glowplugs operation at initial key-of before cranking by checking for voltage at each glowplug connector with a multimeter.
