Your Tempo is equipped with early child-proof rear door locks...(cannot open from the inside when locked) Open the doors from the outside and look near the door catch for a small switch that moves back and forth...if still labeled it should show "Lock...Unlock" marks...leave on unlock for normal opening from inside. Hope this helps.

the problem is the lock actuator . it needs to be replaced and its no easy job

After researching this problem, I suspect it is the door lock actuator located in each affected door. They can be purchased online. If you also suspect this and want to fix it yourself by removing the door panel and the old actuator, then installing the new actuator, test the locks, then install the door panel. I would follow their recommendation as I had the same problem with my car. They unhooked the power to that door and it was fine. The problem was a short in the wiring in the door that was causing the problem. So maybe get them to check the wiring in the door as well.

Aside from the fuses, your drive side power door lock may be failing to work because of a bad door-lock relay system, or, alternatively, the locking switch/button, itself, is not malfunctioning and in need of replacement.

Why don't the rear door locks work anymore?
first is fuses are they good.?
the locks on cars are solenoids.
im guessing all ways to open it fail,
keys, key fobs, and internal controls panels?
no childern locks set (some are hidden on cars)
no drivers, panel , master lock, he pushes it and all locks freeze?
this is a general statement.
so you use a thing like a volt meter. $10 at walfart.
we check for 12vdc across the 2 solenoids.
12vdc when active is good.
0v is bad,
if you get 12v then the solenoid is bad or jammed.
if you get 0v, the controls are bad.
its that simple. and electro magnetic solenoid, is easy to test.
with any voltmeter made.
if the controls are bad we use the same method to check them.
12vdc to the switch it must be.
then you push the rear switch and 12vdc leaves this switch.
if not the switch is bad.(input good)

LDV Maxus 3.5 Drivers door lock initially wouldn't unlock with fob, will work with key. Now will not lock or unlock on fob. Back door will unlock with fob, but does not lock, it has to be locked
The problem is not the actuators, the fault lies in the central locking control unit under the dashboard, behind the glovebox, on the firewall. The CLCU is mounted with the connection terminals to the top resulting in condensation going onto the printed circuit board inside, if the damage started a while ago there is only 3 ways to go.

1. specialist firm to repair the CLCU.
2. Replace.
3. (As I did) buy a cheap remote control receiver with keyfob/s. Cut all wires off the multiplug, there are four pairs, a permanent live and permanent earth. Test each wire to earth on the van to identify the permanent earth FIRST. Then test pairs of wires across 12v/Earth noting which pairs actuate which lock.Isolate in pairs noting which wire has to be live to lock, (Reversed it will unlock) wire each pair into the relay on the remote receiver using the relay to changeover the polarity to each pair You will then be able to Lock/Unlock all the doors, throw the old CLCU away and mount the RCReceiver eslewhere to keep it dry. each door individually. I bought a 2 way RCReceiver and can lock/Unlock front doors seperate the the rear ones which is of far more use! Any decent electrician will tell you how to wire the relays. Job Done..... (100% Sure)

coulb be the control switch on your panel you can take the door panel off and check for loose connections and try to test for continuity. if you dont know how take it to a shop and have them diagnose the electrical. im quite sure it the switch that burnt out

it is probably your door lock has gone into safe mode.you need a new door lock.try using the lock/unlock button on your remote or on the drivers door button and gently tap the door handle with your hand while pressing the lock/unlock button,carefull not to dent your car.if that does not work,try disconnecting the cars battery for a few minutes,but note the vehicle might pick up fault codes which need a diagnostic machine to clear...good luck
