Cd loads, then spins cd super fast and doesnt read it. If I press eject the cd comes out onto the tray still spinning. Also, if I hold the CD into the tray while holding the tray up while closing, it might work sometimes but it almost never does.

Did you undo any leads when you changed the belt, are they in the correct position, it's spinning fast because it can't focus.

The pladder motor is bad, "disc sits on top" most be replaced to regain normal operation.

dvd cds run normally bluray freezes after 1 or 2 mins. i cleaned len an same problem occured on ps3 no overheating no dust

check the power oin to the cd rom for loose contact remove the power pin and insert it with other one place ur hand on the cd drive feel wether the drive is spinning if its spinning click the eject button if not take a long neddle and you will see a small hole in the front of the drive insert the needle in it and press the cd drive will eject try to close the tray using the button and if not working you have complaint with the drive

make sure the drive is not reading a disk, because if its spinning it can break when you do this process.

look for a hole in the front of the drive, get a paper clip and stick it in there all the way, the tray will now eject or if its a slot loading drive the cd will eject

If the CDROM spins and stops, spins and stops then the drive is bad and needs replacing. If the drive spins without interuption try using my computer to browse the CD.

Your CD-ROM may still be functional. The tray may just be stuck, instead of broken. First let's remove the CD.

Get a large paperclip and bend the end out straight. Look for a tiny hole underneath the CDS tray. Push the end of the paperclip into it, and it should open the CD tray a little. Then pull it out the rest of the way and get your CD out. Then try pushing the eject button on the CD-ROM to get the tray to go back in. It may take several trys. If that does not work push the tray in, slowly. Then try the eject button again. I hope that works.

If it does not you can continue to use the CD of course (lots of CD-ROMs have paperclips hanging out of them. And I've seen the problem go away, occasionally, after continued opening and pushing back the tray.

Could be some dirt on laser lenses. Try to clean it.
