If you don't know your pre shared key or forgotten it. You need to access the configuration page of your router and create a new network name and a sign a new network key or pre shared key. Create the profile of your SSID/Wireless network connetion under wireless settings.

From a computer connected to your router, in a browser window, type http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar. Type your user name and password - if you have - and voila, you've accessed your router configuration page.

I need the pre shared key to access internet on my nokia e75

You can find it in router configuration page. Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. Then click on wireless settings then wireless security then note down the WEP key it is your password to connect wifi. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

Cant connect my laptop wirelessly...

Try to reconfigure your wireless network on your DI-524.

To access the configuration page of your router by Default type in on the address bar 192.168.0.1. On the login page by default the Username is admin and leave the Password blank.

If inside the the configuration page of the router

>Click Home
> Click on WIRELESS located on the left side and you will have the wireless setting of your network
> Change the wireless network name
> Under security choose either WEP or WPA -PSK for this type of router.
> Type in your new network key (also know as Passphrase of Key1).

For WEP use 0 to 9 Number or A to F character and it should be exactly 10 characters.
For WPA-PSK you can use alpha numeric from 0 to 9 and from A to Z. The minimun character would be 8.

> Click on apply
> Click on continue.
Try accessing your wireless network first using your wireless computer. If you are connected to your wireless network try connecting to the Internet.

Connect dlink to n95

Hello...the pre-shared key is also known as the network key, and you can find it within your router settings.

Open a web browser, and login to your router by typing http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.

You are prompted for a username and password. Enter username: admin and leave the password blank, or enter your password if you have set one.

Go to Home >Wireless. You should see your pre-shared key, or network key there.

Hope this helps you, but please come back to Fixya if this does not work or you need further help.

Connecting with internet

Yes, that is possible since you have a wireless router. Router can share internet connection. Go to this link this will help you setup the wireless connection (secure it if you want)

http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/wireless/Dlink/DI-524/wireless.htm then on the very bottom there is an option how to Configure Windows XP to connect to your wireless network.

I suggest this because it would be better if there is encryption on the network so people wont be able to access your internet for free (unless you give them the security key)

Dlink di-524 connect to RV042

Hi.

You need to cascade the Dlink wireless router to your RV042.

Suppose your RV042 has a default IP Address of 192.168.1.1, and the DLINK IP uses 192.168.0.1. Your Physical connection is from the regular port of the RV042 going to the WAN/Internet Port of the DLink wireless router.

Once you do that, your Dlink router should automatically obtain an IP from the main router. If it did, configure your wireless settings and you should be able to connect via wireless.

This is just one way to cascade your router to another router.
