My flash on the kidizoom camera won't work

Everything works fine, except for the flash, even when in flash mode. Anyone tell me know to fix this?

Bought our daughter a Kidizoom for her birthday last October but the flash hasn't worked for weeks. The icon says flash is selected, but nothing, even with new batteries.

To Change your flash settings, press the Delete Button while in Photo mode until desire setting. I had the same problem!

Was dropped. Now will do everything EXCEPT take photos. Lens, display, flash, etc. etc. all work fine. Just no screen image or photo when in "shoot" mode.

Sounds like the CCD or a stuck shutter blade. Try this place: www.CamerasAndParts.com They only service Canons and they are the only place we recommend for the Canons. It's all they work on and they are about half the price of most shops, plus the work is just excellent through them.

What type of sd card do i need for the kidizoom camera?

The only thing you really need to bother with is that you need to make sure you get SD cards, 2GB and smaller. Anything larger is actually an SDHC card and won't work in the Kidizoom. Any of the major brands will work fine, and there's no point in paying extra for higher speed.

Built-in flash not working

Please shoot in P mode. In P mode it will use the flash if you pop it up and not use it if it is down.

The flash uses LOTS of battery power. If you battery is weak the flash may take a long time to recycle (charge).

The Flash must be popped up and READY before you can use it. The flash is charged or READY when the RED light is on.

I hope this helps.

Vtech kidizoom camera

We had the same issue. After turning on, nothing on the view screen and the buttons didn't work. The camera could turn on, the turn on screen and sound happened and we cold turn off (show off screen and sound)...even after changing batteries. It was like that for a week.

I found it had to do with TV connector slot. Thinking back, my daughter had been playing with the TV connector right before it stopped working. I took a small hair pin and put it in the TV connector slot, lightly wiggled it and the camera sprung back to life. I'm guessing the camera hardware was acting like it was still plugged in...hence turning off the view screen.

Anyways, hope that helps someone.

Sony Cybershot DSC-H7 - can not change flash settings

for anyone who wants to know how i solved my problem with the flash saying it cannot be changed...

If you go into the camera settings; look under rec mode. It might be in "burst" mode. Flash will only work while in "normal" mode.
