Tv cooling fan

Check and see if you have power going to the fan, before replacing the fan. It could be a power board problem.

Fan should be easy to replace try Encompass Parts Look on their website or try Mats Electronics for replacement fan.

Unhook the fan and see if the set works, it will work without the fan for testing purposes, chances are the fan is drawing to much current and is being shut down by the TV circuitry

A more likely candidate is the color wheel,unless your sure it's the fan

the fan is old and, is off balance (noisy) it can't keep your tv cool so the tv shuts off
open the tv and, remove the fan. replace it with one off e-bay

Samsung Consumer LCD tv's do not have fans except on the higher end models. The Commercial models do. Yours is a Consumer model. I suspect that you have a DLP tv. In that case replace the Lamp Fan. It is the Larger of the three fans. With the rear cover off, you will see a Blue switch lever on the lower right side of the tv. Hold it in a up position and turn "on" the set with your tv remote. Then look for any fan that is not running. Then order that fan. there is a large fan that cools the Lamp. The other fans are of the same smaller size and one cools the DND chip and the other cools the Ballast.

Yes the fan activates when the TV gets a certain level of temp now if this never comes on it would need to be replaced with a new fan motor. I would keep a eye on it if you TV seems to be too darn hot because this can cause falures if it does not cool off the unit.. Thanks and please rate.

Not aware of any cooling fan in a TV system

I had this problem and just turned off the TV and let it cool down. (You should unplug it before opening anyting). I opened the cover over the fan (on the back, near bottom center) and took out the filter. I washed off the filter, made sure it was good and dry, put it back in and turned the TV back on. The filter was quite dirty. I have not had a temperature problem since.
