    NO this a wired mouse

On my mouse, GE HO 97769, I noticed that once in a while the infrared laser goes out, and what I do to revive it, without shutting the computer down, is just to push the sleep mode button on my key board to shut the monitor down for a few seconds, then after the monitor shuts down, push the button again to bring the monitor back up, and it works fine. By this method the computer is still performing its functions, without any interruptions. Hope this helps.

Hello,

I have the same problem in Vista, I found a true and working solution apart of droping the mouse to the trash, ok, go to... http://www.a4tech.com/ go to the english version if you dont speak chinese, then find the driver for the mouse model ***-49Z, and there is the solution, GE isnt the builder of this mouse.

Take Care.

I noticed on my mouse, GE HO97769, my optical light goes out and mouse loses function; what I do is shut my monitor down with the sleep button on the keyboard, then after the monitor shuts down, press the sleep button again to bring the monitor back up, and it works fine. By using this method, the computer is still performing its functions as the computer itself is not shut down. Hope this helps.

A lot of times you can just reset the reciever and mouse without restarting
there should be a reset button on the reciever itself and one on the bottom of the mouse

Never heard of that for a wired mouse

I would try and update the driver in my computer

    Is your keyboard also wired

you might have to uninstall the mouse then restart your computer then reinstall the mouse and its drivers
make sure the battery is good (has full charge)also you might test the usb device for the mouse is inserted correctly into the usb port (if applicable)
click start control panel mouse you should see 4 tabs buttons, pointers, pointer options and hardware under hardware you can troubleshoot also you can select properties under driver you will have options to update driver, rollback driver or uninstall and under hardware you can troubleshoot

Mouse thinks its alive (GE wireless optical 97990 rev.4)

Could be signal interference or overloaded usb port. Move receiver around to get a more direct signal, and notice any other devices in use like phones. Use alone without other usb devices plugged in and/or buy usb hub with power adapter. DO NOT buy passive usb hub with no additional power.

Logitec V270 bluetooth mouse freezes

I found no solution but plenty of similar complaints on the V270 on other than just Vista machines. I will suggest finding another model mouse and check it for Vista compatibility before buying.
I am using a Logitech M-RBB_DEL4 mouse made for Dell, it's bluetooth and works flawlessly on my XP machine along with the keyboard it came with. I will try the one I just ordered on my Vista machine when the BT Keyboard and Mouse arrive.

Mouse freezes

Try reinstalling the CD software program.

Normal 0 Disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
