Every dishwasher door has a door seal. If the dishwasher is leaking water, it might be that the door seal is defective or worn out. Try closing the dishwasher door on a sheet of paper and see if the door seal is making good contact all the way around the door. If not, replace the door seal. If the door seal is good or has been replaced and there is still a leak check the door hinges. If the hinges are bent the door will not close properly and the hinges will need to be replaced
You also have adjustment on the door hinge springs. You need to remove side panels to get to the hinge adjustment on the sides and tighten them. Sometimes the chasis of the machine gets bent from the weight of the door. If you need instructions on removing the side panels let me know.
you need to adjust the door tension springs which is by a screw each side of the hinges on the plinth of the unit at the front. There is a symbol of a spring to show you which screws to release. do them evenly and the door will not spring up,
The dishwasher may not be levle side to side and front to back.
Se the installation instructions or go www.lgusa.com
they may have the instructions on line.
This will cause leakage at the door.
If the leak is @ the bottom left it may be from the drying vent assembly.
The vent would need to be replaced with an updated vent assy.
Recommend you confirm that the rinse aid is not empty.
If problem persists and you are not getting an error message, contact LG service and pres them for the retrofit they released for the LDS5811 (and other models) that dramaticly enhances the drying ability. Until it is replaced, be careful because it is possible tht water will leak from the door panel (not directly from inside the diswasher, but through the door panel-based drying system.
Press them for a no charge repair for this problem and be persistant, firm but polite. If the agent is not helpful on their own, request to be "escalated" to his/her manager. Good Luck! and report back what you find. Thanks!
Some of the LG LDS5811 had problems with the wiring harness in the door panel. This is nothing to mess with unless you have disconnected the DW from power.
You can open the door panel by removing the screws around the inside edge of the DW. Or, better yet, firmly but politely contact LG service and tell them you are aware of LDS5811 dishwashers having these symptoms being caused by _melting_ wires in inside the door panel. This is true and even if the DW is out of warranty, LG should fix this problem at no cost to you.
Good Luck!
