My fax machine is saying cover open when the cover is closed

My fax is panasonic is KX-FPG377 it is telling me the cover is open.
It will not print a fax or print anything.But it will store it in memory a fax.

Just check may bi cover is not locked properly .and also check there will bi a sensor having some bad sector .just clean it properly.or replace it MIA AKHLAQ

You can shut off the answering machine this way....press these buttons...

[ MENU ]

[ # ] [ 7 ] [ 7 ]

[ +] [ - ] { FAX ONLY}

[ SET ]

[ MENU ]

You're done now...the answering machine will not answer. If you want to stop the fax machine from answering...press [Auto Answer] off.

Problem

The cover may not be prperly closed. Is it difficult to close? Sometimes the cartridge may not be inserted correctly so that the cover won't close properly.

Replacing film

try to sensor check.. press "menu # 9000 # *(ateris) 815" then remove the ink film.. try to trigger the white lever found near at thermal head can see it if you remove the ink film.. then look at the LCD.. while triggering the lever,, see if there is reacting on screen while triggering the lever sensor.. if no reaction or sometimes there is reaction.. you need to cleaned the sensor at the digital board....
