Quasar VV-2001 TV/VCR combo - msg: Check Antenna Cable Connection

Can not get any channels to be selected. When I run the "channel auto set" the TV searches for all channels from 2 to 100+ and returns a message "NO CH FOUND PLEASE CHECK ANTENNA CABLE CONNECTION". I know the cable is perfectly OK. Does anyone have any ideas for this problem? Thanks

Make sure you have it set to CATV (cable) and not TV (broadcast channels) before running the channel auto set.

Check first the antenna using another TV. If there is no other TV available, check using an ohmeter. If you are 100% sure tha the antenna is ok then the antenna connector on your Tv is not making a good connection to the antenna plug.

Quasar VV-1302: Cannot Program Cable Channels

If you let it autoprogram and all you get is channel 103. Move the TV back to the old connection and see if it autoprograms all the channels there. If that works ok then you have a problem with the cabe line that only has channel 103.

Quasar tv remote.

Sounds like you need to go to the main menu and run the automatic channel selector again. It will take note note of which channels are not in use and then skip over them when you use the channel advance. Use your remote to get into the main menu and select the "TV" submenu. Then run the auto channel select. After that's done, you can also manually choose to skip channels you don't like. I believe the channel numbers appear in green if they're to be included, and yellow if they're to be skipped. Even if a channel is skipped, you should be able to get to it anytime by punching in the number on your remote.

Set up for cable

You might be able to restore the factory settings by pressing "play" and "FF" simultaneously and hoding them down until the set shuts off (about 5 seconds). Then when you turn it back on it will lead you through the setup routine, which includes auto channel select.

Plan B would be to buy a universal remote.

Can receive only channels 1 thru 27 although connected to cable with 70 channels.

First you need to check if your set is in the cable mode and not antena mode,if the set is in cable make sure is in the standard cable mode and not another type of cable like HRC,if it is change it and try the autoprogram to set the available channels.I hope it helps.
