Hi that is probly just a bad soldering on audio chip
pin connection to board, just remake soldering and watch if any pin are not soldering together
and if no sound replace audio ic
good luck and hope that help// if you not shure ask some one with some knowledge.
have a nice day.
This is the connector for the tuner. This repair must be done by someone who knows how to solder. But, if you have a Cable or Satellite box and this TV has AV connectors on the back....you can use those and do not need to repair the TV tuner. If you do not have cable or satellite you can also use a VCR as a tuner. Just put the cable into the VCR and come out of the [VCR] AV outputs into the TV AV inputs.
if you can take the back off of it and use a soldering iron you can fix it yourself and save u money!!! just see where the connection came loose, heat it up and re-solder it
Intermittent problems are the toughest to track down, but usually have one of two root causes. Cold solder joints are an intermittent contact between where a component (transistor, etc) is mounted to the circuit board and the electrical contacts of the board itself. The other cause is components which break down under heat. Either way, if your not much on troubleshooting, have a TV shop service it, it can be easily repaired.
when you say nothing do you mean the tv wont come on? If the tv is on can you see the words (input, volume bar, menus, etc.) do you hear audio? does the player work on another tv, since you have a sylvania tv, are you using the game button on the top of the remote to switch to the jacks on the front? Good luck :0)
