This printer uses the first version of the HP PCL (Printer Communication Language) driver. HP is at this stage at PCL6, I am not entirely sure if it is backwards compatable.
Do you know if you are using a label software program to design the label or just ZPL (which is Zebra Programming Language) code direct to the printer? If it is software, then you can open that label design software file and remove the barcode. If it is ZPL, then you need to remove it from the code. I can help with this if you can email me the code.

You have to reinstall the CD software program that
came with the printer.During
installation you will be asked what language and then select ENGLISH.
Then follow the instructions.
But first do this. Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off.
I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with
the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the
printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
Which site did you go to to get the drivers?
The Canon site i found asked you to specify which operating system and which language you wanted it in. http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010392.asp
I don't know of a setting to change to get it to install properly.
Trying going to this site and specifying language and let me know how it goes. I'll keep trying to help till we can solve this.
Good Luck.
small test... Hit the Go button 3 times, fairly fast like
tick-tick-tick, normally by doing this the printer will print it's
internal configuration pages. Are these in Swedish as well?
If I'm correct you selected the wrong supported language when installing the printer.
Go to your controll panel, remove the printer driver in "printers and faxes" as well as any brother software in "add/remove programs". Then disconnect and reconnect the printer, install the driver and try to select the proper language while doing this.
