SOURCE: Two red lights are illuminated on the unit and it won't play
I have found an answer. Read the manual. If the temperature inside the projector increases, due to blockage of the air vents, or the setting location,
“ ” will illuminate in the lower left corner of the picture. If the temperature keeps on rising, the lamp will
turn off and the temperature warning indicator will blink, the cooling fan will run for a further 90 seconds, and
then the projector will enter the standby mode. After “ ” appears, ensure to perform the measures
described on page 55.
eg. you vacuum each side of the vents and unplug the unit from the power wait 5 minutes plug it back in and everything rests to normal. Failing this you have a possible issue with the cooling fans and you will then need to send off to the service centre.
If the fans do not work after turning the unit back on then this may be your issue.
here is the URL the the service manual if you have lost yours.

Check the Lamp unit cover. The lamp unit cover is open.If the power indicator and lamp indicator both blinks red even when the lamp unit cover are securely installed, then remove the lamp out and refit it and again close the lamp door properly. If the lamp door is not getting close then red light will blink. And projector will turn off after few seconds or minutes.------ But if lamp unit door is properly closed and both lights are getting red and the unit shuts off. Then this indication is of faulty circuit board in the projector. The board is not letting the projector lamp to turn on and thats why the red lights comes on and projector shuts off.--------
that internal circuit board of the projector is short. You will have to check the tiny components on this board. In most of the cases, the faulty components can be easily located, because this components gets leaked or will look bit bulged up or will have burn mark on them. Once the faulty component is located, you can get the component from local electrical parts store or from online site like www.radioshack.com.
But in some cases the whole board needs to be replaced.
---------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Two red lights indicate a problem with the lamp circuitry, i.e. the ballast. This requires a service center to change out a circuit board. Given the cost, it might be time to look for a new projector.

You don't mention whether the power light is on as well. IF you are seeing red lights for both power and lamp, there is a problem with the circuitry, beyond just the lamp. unfortunately this is very common. The unit will likely need a new ballast circuit.
