Are you using the orginal remote that came with the tv? It should have a input button close to the power button

No audio when using VCR/DVD player

the first thing that you need to do is use the video cables and audio cables that are on the back of the unit. This makes sure that you have sound and video.

Please help

You can find the manual here:

http://www.retrevo.com/search/v2/jsp/downloadPage.jsp?doc=b7a9e24543cb9cdef7c4e094fb734a9a&q=Sanyo+DWM-400

They will make you enter your email address if you want to download the manual.

I'm not sure you'll need the manual if you have a newer TV and want to hook this up the way most people do.

Just about all new televisons have a variety of video inputs. Typically you use one for your Cable box, one for your DVD (or VCR). When you wish to watch cable you "tell" your TV you want to view that input and when you want to watch the DVD player you tell the TV that's the input to use. Most Cable Box remotes are set up to control the TV so you can change the input without having to use the original TV remote. You can also, generally, change the TV input from the front panel of the TV set. If you give me the make/model of your TV I may be able to help you figure out how to switch inputs.

But back to the DVD. I downloaded the manual and this DVD can generate output in a few different formats. The easiest will probably be the jacks numbered 2 which is the Audio There are two them, one is RED, and one is WHITE, and jack number 4. This is the Video and will be YELLOW in color. I'll be the DVD player came with a cable set that has three connectors on each end. They will be colored YELLOW, RED, and WHITE.

You should simply need to plug one end of this cable set into the jacks mentioned above on the DVD player and then plug them into one of the inputs on your TV. Pay attention to which TV input you use because you'll need to select that input to watch the DVD.

If you have an older TV we will need to use a different method to hook up the DVD player.

Now for the editorial section. I'm not paid for this. I know it's a strange hobby, but I like helping when I can. If you have more questions please ask before you rate this solution. If anything I've offered here has been helpful I hope you'll rate this solution positively. About half of the solutions I've offered have never been rated. Thanks and good luck.

Sanyo TV

I too just bought an RCA remote for the same television. The button to access other video screens is the A/B button on mine (next to the last channel button).

TV (Model DS27510) is stuck on Video2 setting, unable to change!!

Ours is doing the same thing except on Video 1. I called Sanyo customer service and they said I need the original remote. They were willing to sell me one for $20. Here is what I did instead. I used a cable box and hooked the cable in to it. Then I took the type of cables that will hook into my video 1 slot and plugged them in there and plugged them into the back of the cable box in the "cable out" positions. It worked ! If you do not have a cable box you might try a DVD/VCR combo or a VCR. Good Luck
