SOURCE: I have a Lexmark t644 Jamming!

if you have replaced the fuser this sounds like a paper size reporting problem print the network settings page to see if it takes up the whole page. if it doesnt your printer is not reporting the paper size accurately (change the paper size board) located behind the logic board
check to see how many finger are sticking out on the paper tray letter generally has two the bottom 2. the third thing is there is a sensor inside the printer on the left side looking in the toner needs to be removed to see it, just bfore the transfer roller on the left there is a timming sensor make sure this is still in place standing straight up right next to the rear white gear

When you turn on the printer, the code 80, code appears to want to reset the wrong network

code 80 is maintanance message askinfg for the fuser charge and transfer roller to be changed. to reset counter hold tick and right arrow will go into config menu you can then reset counter. but if you do not change parts it will start to jam due to fuser at end of life

Re: Lexmark T644 - Cleaning Toner supplier just advised there is a "cleaning" process I should be able to do from the Menu screen on the printer to clean it before I install each new toner...

there is no cleaning cycle on this printer if old toner is empty por and fit new toner and por and off you go.
ther only time you change things to improve print is when it say 80 maint message then fuser transfer and charge roll get changed and it will work for 200k of prints

Lexmark T644 920.16 Service Fuser Error What do I need to do to repair this problem?

Lexmark gives the following list of all fuser errors and recommends what action you should take (Lexmark Knowledge Base). that the fuser unit failed to reach the standby temperature.
  • If this is the first time you have seen the error, turn the printer off and on. Leave the printer off for at least 10 seconds before turning it back on. This gives the printer's engine board a chance to reset.
  • If this is an intermittent error, you may want to check how the printer is plugged in, even if it has worked on this surge device for months. Make sure the printer is plugged straight to the wall and not through a surge device or power strip. Power strips and uninterrupted power supplies can cause a low amperage problem in your printer which can trigger a false fuser error.
  • If this does not help or if this error appears every time the printer is powered on, you will probably need service on the machine.

  • 920 Fuser Error message indicates that the fuser unit in the printer is below the proper temperature for printing.

  • You may need to replace the fuser: watch this video:

    T644 920.06 service fuser error

Check the F1 fuse on the Low Voltage Power Supply. They are known to have problems with the metal clamps that the fuse snaps into start oxidizing. Because of this, the fuse doesn't make good contact to the metal. If this isn't the problem, then the fuser will need to be replaced.

What is error 922.14 service fuser error

Service Fuser Error appears when the fuser does not warm to the required temperature. For this error on this Lexmark model T632, the manual states you should power off the printer and power it back on, and if it is not plugged into a wall power point, change it to a power point mounted directly on the wall. Personally, I never got a Lexmark printer to work doing this, but this is in the manual. If this won't help, and the printer is under warranty, you should log it in with the servicing company.

If the printer is out of warranty, your next best option is to change the fuser which costs around $350, so I think you would be better off getting a new printer unless you find a second hand one on Ebay.

    I have a Lexmark t644 Jamming!

If it jamms passing the fuser you have to check the exit sensor, there are 2 sensor at fuser exit, you can see them taking off the rear cover, one is for paper size and the other is for paper jams, check them both or replace them.

If it jams before the sheet passes the fuser it may a sensor in the black plate under the cartridge, or the pass rollers at the left side of the printer.

Before everythig try cleaning them with an air compressor or with an spray cleaner with isopropilic alcohol.

    Hope it helps you...
