Garmin nuvi 350-can not change the location it is stuck on

Top of screen says it is acquiring satellites..but it does not matter where I take it, it says the same thing - it is locked on an old location when we were driving...Has question mark over where it says we are driving.

I have the same problem. When it is working, the device would ask you to go to "highlight area or ground".

I have done the following based on solutions recommended:
    1. http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/site/us...
    a. Installed the latest software
    b. did a master reset - pressing the top right screen - favorites were
    not deleted
    2. Run the the battery flat by keeping it on and re-charging it. One person
fixed this problem using this method. It did not work for me.

May have to call support soon product support at (800) 800-1020

You may need to reset it, as in resetting the c340, turn off and then press back on again, if this does not work maybe the reset button is in the same place as it is on my c340, instructions for the c340 is as follows: place your thumb nail in the groove located under the Garmin logo on the face plate, gently pull off the face plat, press the reset button, turn the unit back on and hopefully it will operate normally

MY Garmin first Said that it was acquiring a satellite then it is stuck in one city and won't clear to set another route. what can i do?

Did it actually acquire any satellites. If not try the reset button on the back. If nothing then do a master reset - you may lose some of your locations previously stored or user data. If none of these work or before you try them try an external antenna.

My Garmin has stopped finding destinations - just says "Searching for Satellite)+

I had the same problem with my Nuvi 310. Found a solution in here that works. Here's a copy of the advice.....note you will need to get in the car and set it for a destination and go. 5-10 mins later the Garmin Nuvi will lose the satellites, but don't adjust it it, leave it on and keep going. Eventually after about an hour it will right itself, pick up the satellites and evrything will be back to normal.

Here's the advice:

I experienced the same problem about acquiring satellite signal even when it's a clear sunny day. After 30 mintues, it was still searching!
The unit appeared to have "stuck" in this acquiring mode. The following worked for me:
1) open the GPS antenna
2) press the bottom left screen while holding the power button to turn the unit on
3) enter maintenace mode
4) select diagnostics
5) clear error report, do NOT clear any user data
6) restart unit the usual way

My GPS 350 was able to acquire satellite signal in less than 1 minute after the above steps were taken.

Garmin 350 Nuvi

not sure if you are keeping the tab open but...the reason is because the tab at the top of the GPS is the antannae. You have to open it or it won't work. when you press the reset button, you are opening the antannae first which then acquires the satellites. Keep the top tab open.
