This tv incorperates a full digital PLL tuner. It does not need a digital to analog coverter since analog signals is no longer used. All tv stations now broadcast with digital signal. It will receive local broadcast stations just connect a goood quality antenna to the tv. You will need to do a scan and the tv will store all of your local broadcasting stations within range. An outdoor antenna works best for digital signals.

Changing analog to digital on Sharp TV

Unfortunately, you cannot convert an analog TV to digital simply by changing settings. The transition from analog to digital involves hardware changes. If you have an older Sharp TV without a built-in digital tuner, you may need an external digital converter box or consider upgrading to a newer TV with a built-in digital tuner to receive digital broadcasts.

Can I conveRt an analoge signal to digital for Casio tv

The need depends on what country you live in. In the US,Canada, and Mexico there are no longer any analog TV signals Everything broadcast over the air is digital. A digital to analog converter is available so older TV's without a built in digital tuner can be used.

How can I get analog channels to work with DTV without cable

Hello drandald,

Your tv is a digital tv, so you do NOT need a converter box. The tv has a built in digital tuner. But if you have any other older tv's then what you need is a converter box to convert analog signals to digital. I know there is one in Best Buy (not sure if there is one in your location) but they have one called access digital tv converter. They are about $50 (CAN). You would still need your antenna or however you get your analog signals. The antenna needs to be plugged into your converter box and then the box would need to be connected to your tv.

Does the JVC AV27230 require a digital to analog converter?

if you are going to continue using the rooftop antenna, then you will nee to purchase a digital converter box. Those television sets are only analog. You do have an option to get Directv or Dish network and you will not need a converter box at all. Directv and Dish network are 100% Digital and the receivers work as converter boxes for that product only.

Wish to record on analog VCR and not affect digital TV reception

I don't think it will affect the digital TV reception, but if you try to use the VCR built-in tuner it is still analog and you won't be able to record digital channels that way. If your digital TV converter has video-out and audio-out connectors, then you can connect those to the corresponding connectors on your VCR to record.

Analog to digital conversion on Aquos?

First of all, the change is actually goping from analog over-air broadcasting to a digital signal. Second, if you have cable or satelite, you don't need anything. The only time a converter is required is if you use rabbit ears or an external antenna. In your case, the TV DOES have a digital tuner so you DO NOT need a converter in either case.

I have a Philips Model DVDR 3505/37 recorder. I recently hooked up a RCA analog to digital converter to the TV and to the DVD. Now it will not record. No error messages. Just no recording. Thanks

The Philips DVDR 3505/37 has a built-in analog to Digital converter. No additional converter is needed. Just do the scan for over the air channels and set to go. Works fine now.

DTV????????????????????????

From the side of the carton in which it came:
CONSUMER ALERT: This television receiver has only an analog broadcast tuner and will require a converter box after February 17, 2009 to receive over-the-air broadcasts with an antenna because of the U.S.'s transition to digital broadcasting. Analog-only TVs should continue to work as before with cable and satellite TV services, gaming consoles, VCRs, DVD players, and similar products. For more information, call the Federal Communications Commission at 1-888-225-5322 (TTY: 1-888-835-5322), or visit the commission’s digital-television Web site at: www.dtv.gov.
The only other thing I could add to this, is that the Post Office in 2009 will get the task of handing out $40.00 coupons to to anyone wishing to purchase a converter.
