Same problem here. Neighbor kids have two of them. One driver disk is cracked, the second isn't readable ;(

Tried using it per the owners manual but no luck, and can't seem to find any drivers online.

Hello. Well, we were able to put ONE SONG on! But that was only because it was a MUSIC SAMPLE that came with Windows...not a real SONG. We still can't get it to accept any songs from CD's or the Internet! ...we get an error EVERY time that says, "disc is copywritten" or "music is protected under piracy laws" in Windows Media Player...and most of the songs we try to download are "Free" or we OWN the CD ourselves! Poor kids! Here it is Jan. 6th and they can't use the new, hip electronic item they got for Christmas! If anyone else has ideas, please post em, and thanks SO much to the 2 who tried to help!

If you've got songs on your computer under media player, then synch your MP3 using Media Player.
Then you can transfer the files to your MP3 player by moving those from your library in Media Player to
the right Synch List. Once you've got the songs you want, go to the bottom on the right and press
Start Synch.

There should have been a cd that came with the mp3 player. Install the Utilities program. After the program has been installed you will need to construct a playlist. After you had created a playlist the mp3's on that playlist will be transfered into the mp3 player. My friend had this problem and we kinda had to try this through trial and error. I hope this helps

How many songs can i store on it and also i can not download my songs,

In a 1GB device you can load about 330 songs of average quality ( 128Kbps ) . Simple equation 1GB = 1000Mb An average 128Kbps song is 3 Mb. 3 x 330 = 990Mb. Please clarify what you mean by download. PC to RCA or RCA to PC ?

How do I set up my Element MP3 player to download music from cds in my computer? It is listed as Model GC810/811/812/820/821/822/823

Hi,

You need to convert the songs on the CD into MP3s on your computer first using Windows Media Player or another program like this. 'Rip' the songs from the CD as MP3s.

For a full breakdown on what is involved please see my FixYa Tip.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Unwanted music download

I would assume you would just be able to access the files from your computer, as long as you use simple disk access to look at them. This means connect your player to the computer, then view the files, and delete the ones you do not want.

At the same time, if you synchronize with a program like iTunes or Frostwire, make sure the file is not on your computer, so it wont copy it to the mp3 player again.

Got my kids the Nextar 1GB MA933A digital MP3 player. We use napster and iTunes. Have downloaded some songs to player as when players plugged in by USB they show up as being on the list. However, they are...

Hey there Peggy,

A lot of people have been complaining about this particular product.First of all, you have to format the player, but the instruction manualdoesn't even mention this..
Plug one into the usb port and wait for it to detect. Then go to My Computer, and right click on the drive and Format.
You should now be able to copy songs over, although Protected mp3's WILL NOT PLAY ON THIS PRODUCT!!!
Unbelievable, I know, in this day and age..
Almost makes you want to download and install Soulseek and download 'normal' versions of the mp3's, doesn't it? Because they will always play in your mp3 player?
So first format the thing. The rest is up to you ;)

Hope this helps ;)
Season's Greetings!

Add songs

You plug the mp3 into your CPU(the tower) into the usb port. Go to My computer and you'll see GPX down the bottom right. Click on it, then go to open music and click on it...drag the music files to the mp3 window you pulled up.

Rca th1100 pearl, I can't load songs what am I doing wrong?

Make sure the songs are in the correct format. Make sure the songs are not AAC, WAV, streaming, or some other non-supported format
Mp3 players are more complicated than ever. This player may only accept DRM-encrypted WMA files. I would first check the songs that you have downloaded to make sure they did not have "temporary" licenses with a fixed end date. You can do this by right clicking on an individual song, clicking on properties, and selecting the "license," "digital rights mgmt" or "media usage rights" tab - the wording varies by configuration. It will give you info on the license. If the song says that it has no license, it will not work with this player. One remedy is to use mp3 converter software to convert all of those wma files to Mp3's - I don't know of any free ones, but you can certainly look for free Mp3 Converters. Another remedy on unlicensed songs is to hit the "acquire license" link in the license tab, if one exists.
