Tpm not found or tpm problem on acer aspire 5520g

I have an Acer Aspire 5520G, originally coming up with Windows Vista Home. Since upgrading to Window 7 Ultimate 32bit, my notebook boots up the OS very rare and the screen stuck on black. I figure out the problem "TPM missing or TPM problem". Anyone who got clue on this?

Solution is try to re install the Windows Vista back and see whether the TPM will show missing. sometimes thats happening to most of the systems. when you try to put another windows thats did not came with the product, you will miss some functions such as drivers, battery not charging, internet not working, audio not working and many more. so put back windows vista and whether your problem still existing.

thx kizii, no need to re-install Vista. This would solve the problem for sure, but cause another problem, I won't be able to use Windows7. In fact, there is no TPM hardware on my notebook, so it's impossible to recognize the TPM while booting. I read some columns of how to handle this problem and somewhere it says to update the bios, which I think might be a way to risky for me, in case something wents wrong. I already watch out for any adjustable TPM setting in BIOS, but non exists. Is there any clue to skip TPM proofing during boot. Well, I am even unsure, whether this might be a chipset problem or so...

SOURCE: Acer Aspire 5315 Vista Windows boot problem

have you checked if your pc is compatible with win7? use this to check it: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/en-us/default.aspx
and if it is, try to do a clean install. boot from the cd. insert the disc. restart pc, as soon as it has power, press F12 several times and highlight cd/dvd drive or ODD using your arrow keys then press enter. it will load the cd from there. And that should work fine.

SOURCE: acer aspire 5520G laptop,,the screen remains

Hi, this fault sounds like the screen backlight inverter has failed. There is not much detail in your question but start the laptop and watch the screen very closely. Watch for the windows logo to appear in the center of the screen. If you can see it but it is very dim then the backlight has failed. A replacement inverter is likely to cure this, it is usually mounted at the bottom of the screen assembly behind the plastic facsia. Also connect an external monitor and then try power up again. If you get a display on the external monitor then the inverter is the most likely cause. Check the connection cable as well before spending out on an inverter especially if the fault was intermittent before final failure. I will need more details to help more if this does not cure your fault.

Hope this helps

Slow acer aspire 5520g

Disk defragment is first step. This will locate files closer to each other on the hard drive. Should be located in system tools. Other than that I would save all important files externally and format the drive and start fresh. Beyond that, you would probably need to upgrade.

CD DVD not detected at start up

Check to see if it is showing up in the hardware section of device manager. Click on Start - Control Panel - System - and in the left hand pane you should see Device Manager. If the CD/DVD player is showing up there then the BIOS is seeing the drive but Windows may not. This could be due to incorrect or lost drivers. I would suggest going to Acer's website and downloading the most current drivers and also if there is a bios upgrade do that as well. That should correct the issue.
