Onkyo Ht-rc360 7.2ch Network Audio/video Home Theatre Receiver Htrc360 Logo

HT-RC360 no longer feeds video to my TV .

My Blu-Ray player works if I bypass the receiver to the TV. Both the Blu-Ray and VHS players get audio through the receiver speakers, but no video. I've had the receiver for about 18-months. The manual says to fix the problem with the on-screen setup, which I can't see because there isn't a video feed. I've also tried a new HDMI cable with the same results

Fixed it by resetting the receiver! Wish it hadn't taken that long.

Update firmware (usually every 6 months). Connect the ethernet to the unit, press Net and Power button simultaneously. Hit Enter as directed. Takes up to 60 minutes. OR (if no internet service), download firmware updates onto a USB (32MB) and connect it to the USB port. If you do not update voluntarily, unit will suddenly not feed video.

SOURCE: I cannot get video signal from my Samsung p1590

I think this one is for the Onkyo wizards:

I would write them via email here:

http://www.onkyousa.com/feedback_form.cfm

1-800-229-1687
However I did find this 2 page hookup manual with nice notes at link listed below that may help you solve the mystery:

(seems you may have to assign the digital input)

http://filedepot.onkyousa.com/Files/QuickHookup/TX-SR606_QSS_En_A.pdf?CFID=918117&CFTOKEN=40624545&jsessionid=f0306ea8a0d68bb60a49102e3e5510576756

Assigning the Digital Input
If there’s no sound, you’ll need to assign the digital inputs as
necessary using the setup menus on the TX-SR606’s display.
If you connect your DVD player to the AV receiver’s COAXIAL 1
DIGITAL IN, and your cable/satellite receiver to the COAXIAL 2
DIGITAL IN, as shown, it’s not necessary to assign the digital input.
The onscreen setup menus appear only on a TV that is
connected to the HDMI OUT. If your TV is connected to the composite video or S-Video MONITOR OUT, or the
COMPONENT VIDEO OUT, use the TX-SR606’s display when changing settings.

Thanks for using FixYa!

SOURCE: No video or audio from my BD player (or my older

You have not clarified if you have made the correct assignments of the devices to the Onkyo.

For example HDMI IN1 = BD/DVD etc.

Refer page 39 of the user manual.

Yamaha RX-V471 3D video for blu ray will not display on TV

Your Yamaha is the problem here. It cannot handle the signal and process the 3D as it states. What I would do is hook your player direct to your TV in the manner that it works and feed your audio from a different path to maintain surround system. Your tv/dvd player may have an audio out that you can feed back to the Yamaha .

Hookup Blu ray player to Onkyo pre-amp for speakers

If you have audio out jacks from your tv, you would be better served hooking that up to the preamp. If you hook up the blu-ray player separately to both the tv and amp, the audio probably will not sync with the video correctly. The tv takes longer to decode the hdmi input and the audio will be ahead.

Black and white picture from blu ray player

Run the Blue Ray straight to the TV and see if the picture is still in black and white. If it is you know that your reciever is fine and the problem lies in the player or the TV. If the picture is normal then you probably have a bad HDMI IC that will need to be replaced.

Dvd player has video & audio. Vhs player has audio only, no video, Need to know what to do?

Many DVD/VHS Combos have separate outputs for both. If you are using the Component or HDMI, then you also need to use one of the Composite (yellow) or Coaxial outputs separately for the VHS. You will be using 2 inputs on the TV, so remember to switch to the correct one.

I just hooked up a sony blue ray to Samsung HD TV and it worked initially and now the tv does not get a signal from Blue ray model BDP-S360

Please unplug the Cable from the Blu-ray Player to the TV.
Then, press and hold the STOP button on the Blu-ray Player for more than 10 seconds.
Then, connect the cable from the Blu-ray Player to the TV and check whether it helps.

Different Audio options from an older receiver

If your receiver has a multichannel input and the player has the multchannel output then that is the only way you can get surround sound from it with source inputs that it cannot decode, such as DTS. The player will then do it alone.
However, in the setup menu of the blu ray player you should be able to change the audio output to downmix to 2ch audio...at least you'll get to watch the movie.

How to connect BLU-RAY DVD player to Pioneer Plasma TV via HDMI

The best possible solution to your problem is :
Connect your blu ray player directly to the HDMI input of you Plasma and watch HD video....
and connect the 5.1/7.1 sound thru the optical or the coaxial link directly to your AVR 3805.
You will not loose anything on the Blu-Ray.
The sound is best processsed by the AVR3805, while the video, which is the real upgrade (BluRay) in terms of resolution of picture would be processed by your plasma.

Connect and Enjoy
