Hi,
First, you should use itunes for you iPod. I know that there are other programs that can let you load music on it, but you should use iTune, Really.

1. You should first download iTunes. It is free.

2. Next. Load your music into iTunes. Do all of this BEFORE you plug your iPod into the computer.

3. Connect your iPod to the computer. Use a fast USB port. These are usually located on the back of the computer.

4. Your iPod should appear in the iTune pane on the left side. You should be able to see a set of 'tabs' that you can click. The first one is about your iPod.

5. At this point, you can click on the music tab to tell the computer to load what to load into the iPod. Click 'sync' to load your music.

6. When the syncing is complete, you will see that notice above in iTunes. Click the arrow next to the iPod picture in the iTunes pane to discharge the iPod. The iPod picture will disappear. Make sure that you also safely release the iPod in the task bar at the bottom of the computer. You will need to click on a green icon that looks like a plug and select 'safely remove storage device'. Wait until the computer tells you it is safe to disconnect it. Then disconnect.

Hope that helps.

My nano 4th G will only come on when i plug it in to my comp

Your battery is most likely dead. Very dead. Google "iPod repairs" in your country and they might be able to replace it. Otherwise you can get an exchange unit from Apple. Take it to your nearest Authorised Apple Service Centre and they will get it exchanged in a couple of days. Unfortunately this might cost almost as much as a new one.

Transfer music from ipod back to library

it is completely possible to use your ipod to transfer music to a new computer.

Now these steps may vary if you have Window's Vista and not Window's XP. However, I will post step by step instructions below each item just in case you are unsure on how to do any of it.
First, on the computer, (without anything else open) click on the start menu and open your control panel. {If you have Vista you will need to click on classic view in the left panel of the control panel when it opens} Then go to Folder Options and click on the View tab at the top of that window, now select Show Hidden Files and Folders. Once that's done go ahead and close out of all windows.
second, you will want to put the ipod into disc mode.

Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for at least 6 seconds until the Apple logo appears. When the Apple logo appears, release the Menu and Select buttons and immediately press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until the Disk Mode screen appears.
Connect the iPod to your computer; the screen on the iPod will change and say "Do not disconnect" If you are having difficulty putting the iPod model into disk mode, set it on a flat surface. Make sure that the finger pressing the Select button is not touching the Click Wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Play/Pause button toward the outside of the Click Wheel and not near the center.

After doing this connect your ipod to your computer. If it auto pop's itunes, just wait for the ipod to show up in the devices area and then shut itunes.

Third, open your start menu again, and open My Computer. Once the My computer window is open double click on you ipod icon. Once your ipod opens you will see several folders. You will click and drag the itunes music folder to the new folder created on your desktop. This step may take a while if your ipod is fully loaded. Once complete your music will now be on your computer.

From here, all you will need to do is open itunes. If the music is not auto loaded into itunes, click on File in the top tool bar and open Add Folder To Library. Then browse to the new folder created on your desktop and select it. This will bring the newly added music on the computer into itunes and you will be ready to what ever else you wish to do

Mp3 cendyne 128mb wont be recognized

What services is it not showing up on? Windows Media Player? Try downloading Media Monkey (they have a free version) - it will recognize the player, and you can use Media Monkey to view, transfer songs.

if you have a Windows-based computer, you may have to reformat the iPod by going to My Computer, right-clicking on iPod logo, and then selecting "Format" player (only do this as a last resort - iPod's are generally so good that you just plug n play). The apple website has good info if you need Vista-related support for this.

Someone disconnected my apple iPod nano when the screen said do not disconnect What do i do to fix it ???

First try and re-set it. Hold down the play button and select or center button at the same time for about 10 seconds. The apple logo should appear. try turning it on again. I should work, if not plug it into your computer and let it charge for an hour until the charging sign comes on. Then unplug it and try turning it on again.

How to setup my ipod nano

it sounds like you might need to change some of the itunes settings. you open itunes and plug your pod in and see if it shows up on the left side of the window in with the playlists. if it doesn't then there is an interface problem which could be something as simple as the cable. if it does show up, then you click on that icon and you can change your pod settings.
