I lost the owners manual in a recent move and now my dvd player is acting up. the battery is dead but when i attach it to an ac adapter it comes on long enough to show the screen and that the dvd is loading the it shut off. if i leave it attached will it recharge the battery? or should i just locate a new battery and or recharger?

I have lost the instructions and want to charge the battery pack.

Do I just insert the battery pack into the back of player and click button over to AV?

    Should this charge?

Please advise me what to do or am i missing a charger for the battery pack?

Should there be a indicator light that proves the battery is charging? When i select the charge option theres nothing that light up. FYI-- this battery has never been charged, so i dont think the answer is the battery is dead.

A new battery sounds like the solution. Here is the link to the manual; http://www.1800customersupport.com/productdocuments/PVS1262.pdf Link for troubleshooting FAQs; http://www.1800customersupport.com/products.aspx?view=36&p=43&sc=5&sn=Portable%20DVD%20Players&pn=DVD%20Players%20and%20Recorders this next link will give you contact details in order to source a new battery, but try them first in case they know another solution; http://www.1800customersupport.com/request.aspx Hope this helps, post again please if not :)

PS try just leaving it plugged in overnight and it may charge up, if not then the battery is probably dead.
