Check the bobbin winder spindle... can you slide it to the right or left? If so do that.

its the sensor on the bobinwinder who are loose. If you are handy. you can remove the top cover of the machine.
And on the left side of the bobinwinder you will find a micro switch. Probably you have to tighten the screw on it..

SOURCE: bobbin filling on Singer 626

The Singer 626 has a self-winding bobbin. You place the empty bobbin in the bobbin thingie (sorry for being so untechnical). On the left of the bobbin you will see a "lever" with a circular top on it (I think it is red-ish) Again, sorry for being so untechnical. Press the "lever" down. Thread your machine, thread the needle, wrap the excess thread from the needle around the knob that tightens the needle and holds it in place and press your foot down on the foot pedal. The bobbin will automatically wind as you hold the foot pedal down. Do not wind the thread onto the bobbin past the outer white line.

SOURCE: can't tighten clutch on Kenmore zig zag sewing machine.

The clutch has fallen off the shaft. Remove the very small screw in the clutch release screw to remove the clutch release. Place the clutch(round thing with ears on it) back on the shaft with the center ears pointing towards the outside. Put the clutch release screw back on. Tighten it to make sure it works
properly. Put the small screw back in the clutch release screw and test it again. If it will not tighten or release properly, remove the clutch ,rotate it180 degrees and try it again. This should solve your problem.

SOURCE: SIMILAR PROBLEM OF TOP THREAD ACCUMULATING IN BOBBIN AREA

it sounds like a needle threading problem. if you have the instruction book, pull yout needle thread off the machine and re-thread as per the book ie presser foot up and make sure thread goes betwen tension discs and up over takeup lever.

to check needle tension is ok, lower presser foot and pull needle thread through needle, the needle thread should be tight enough to bend the needle a little.

goodluck,

scott.

I know this sounds silly but have you made sure the bobbin spindle has been pushed back when you have finished filling the bobbin. Switch of all power, and try again.

White sewing machine model 1805 can't get it to sew the wheel turns and belt is ok . It is like the wheel is frozen Do you change it after filling a bobbin?

If I recall correctly, to fill a bobbin you must first release the belt from the wheel by loosening the knob on the small machine wheel. Then after the bobbin is filled you need to tighten that knob again. Do you have the manual?

I have no manual as i bought it from an op shop. how do i fill a bobbin. I cant get the needle to stop still and te bobbin to spin

You should have a knob in the middle of the big round thing that turns when the machine is running.
Hang on to the round thing and turn the knob to loosen. This should stop the needle from running
while you fill the bobbin.
