This isn't an answer but my car is doing something similar. Every time I hit the aid button it goes to fm radio. I've tried doing what some these recommend but nothing is working.

SOURCE: My Aux-in wont work

did you turned aux function?

turn off your player by pressing and holding volume controler.
press and hold longer (~5 sec) it again to turn it on (you should see 'tuner' in the lcd).
push up arrow to select aux and right/left to turn it on.

now you can connect your ipod and select aux (as ussual switching between tuner/cd player/aux)

cheers :)

SOURCE: missing AUX 2 after changing car batterie

hold the SRC button until the stereo turns off. Hold in on the function button (or volume knob) until the setup menu turns on... once it comes up, you can scroll thru selections with the volume knob and turn them on and off by clicking in on the knob. AUX2 will be one of those settings.

SOURCE: i have a pioneer DEH-P3000

Hi nhmteam. I have the solution for you: 1. With your DEH-P3000 turned off, press your FUNCtion button. It's a tiny button towards the upper right of the faceplate. Hold it down until you "ALARM OFF" or "ALARM ON" on the display. Release the button. 2. Press the FUNCtion button again and you should see another feature. I don't remember how many features you need to cycle through, but keep releasing and pressing the FUNCtion button until you see "M-CD ON" on the display. If you miss it just keep going and eventually it will come back. 3. On the right side of your faceplate there is a button with 4 arrows. You will need to push the up or down arrow until the display reads "M-CD OFF". If your display already reads "M-CD OFF", kip to the next step. 4. Press and release the FUNCtion button again and you should see "AUX OFF" on the display. Again press the up or down arrow until the display reads "AUX ON". 5. Now, turn on your unit, then press the INPUT button until the display reads "AUX". You are now ready to use your iPod in the way you always did. Keep these instructions for the future since I believe every time you disconnect the unit from the battery the unit will reset itself and disable your iPod cord. Best regards - TomR

SOURCE: THe radio doesn't recognise the AUX connection

While you may read over a million answers to this problem, try this one first:

With the KEY ON, POWER THE UNIT OFF, by pushing the volume button IN for 3 seconds.
After power is off and key is STILL ON, press and hold the volume button AGAIN for 3 FULL SECONDS. The elusive "Initial" settings should reappear at this point. press function to navigate the INITIAL SETTINGS to turn on AUX1 or AUX2, and even to set the clock...

To get out of INITIAL SETTINGS, simply press again for THREE SECONDS, or press "BAND" to "escape"...

I hope this helps.

My daughter has an Iwantit ipod speaker model IW900 and it works/sounds fine with her ipod usind the dedicated ipod connector. On the the back of the speaker there is an Aux in socket. She would like...

It took me a while to figure this one out. Firstly plug your device in to the aux socket and play some music so you can hear when it's correctly switched over. Turn on the iwantit using the switch at the back then press the play button once, you should see the lights on the buttons go brighter. Now press the play button again, this time holding it down for exactly 3 seconds. When you release the button you should be in aux mode and you should hear your music playing. Hope this helps, it took me about an hour of faffing around before I finally figured it out.

Playing my ipod on AUX mode????!?!?!?!?!!!!??

HELLO, ON THE IPOD BOX ARE SEVERAL NUMBER CODES. THEY HAVE TO BE SET TO THE RIGHT NUMBERS ON OR OFF BEFORE THE FACTORY RADIO WILL READ THE BOX. ONCE THE CORRECT NUMBERS ARE SET FOR YOUR VEHICLE THE AUX BUTTON WILL WORK JUST FINE. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE BOOK WITH THE CODES IN IT. JUST COUNT THE WIRES ON THE ADAPTOR AND THE LOCATION OF THE PINS THEY CONNECT TO. THEN PUSH ONLY THOSE PINS UP IN THE ON POSTION. GOOD LUCK!
