Have you tried to reset all your setting to default through your monitor? Sounds like an overscan issue, like the monitor is trying to display video past the actual size of the monitor so it raps around itself. You could try and lower the screen resolution on your desktop and see if it goes away as well...
Hi. I have got the same problem, and it was very easy to solve. Monitor was LG. The problem was not in the system, it was in the monitor. I just clicked the buttons on the monitor, it was on the wrong setting that divides monitor in two colors, so if it happens to you, try checking your monitor settings, mine was set to "demonstration", half was lighter than the other one, just set it to usual or user. Keep in mind the settings are on the monitor itself, not in the windows (buttons on the monitor itself) Good luck.
TURN IT OFF AND DO NOT TRY TO USE---if a thin line left to right in middle of screen it is vertical problem---the set should shut down but even seconds count here--this can burn a mark on all three picture tubes instantly and it is permanent.
Problem if small line left to right in vertical circuit.
Let me know what you know and I will try to help--I know these sets very well.
hello. I would have to see the vertical lines in order to ascertain the cause. Generally, however, they are from problems in the video processing circuitry surrounding the jungle chip.
Also mention the indications of rfi correctly. So if you have another easily transportable tv in another room that you can bring in and set it side by side with the jvc, check it also for the same problem. RFI can be very deceiving.
Then let me know further. But don't service it if there is any chance of it being something external to the tv! please feel free to give the problem in detail manner so that we can get a more clear picture of your question. as i can not see your TV pertionally so detail is all that will help both of Us
