When
you forgot
windows
os password, you
could enter
into safe mode (F8 when booting up) to remove
windows password while
you didn't
remember user account password, but
if you forgot administrator
passwords,
there's
no way to change it, you should
use software
to recover administrator
password. Yesterday
evening, I forgot my Windows admin
password. In
the end, I
used Windows Password Seeker to retrieve
my
Windows password successfully. It's worth a
try.

It not only support XP/Vista/2000/NT, but also compatible with windows 7, I tested it on my computer installed with Windows 7 and remove the local user and admin accounts password successfully. This is a very simple thing for me. I often forget my windows password, but I can reset it with windows password reset tool. I own a great windows password reset tool called Windows Password Seeker from http://www.passwordseeker.com And I usually solve my windows password problems with it.
Maybe, you can reset Windows Administrator password and with newly password to unlock it.
I know a reliable solution for those who has forgotten their windows administrator. Free download Windows Password Unlocker and then with this program, you can reset windows password with no data loss.
Bugsy, just in case-have you tried without a password? By pressing and holding down the power button 5+ secs will power down the machine. Removing the battery will shut it down too. The issue is "will you still be locked out when you reboot?" You should try starting in safemode when you reboot (pressing F8) during the initial boot process and see if you can log in as administrator(no password). If you can access safemode try to reset the administrators password in user accounts. Let me know if you've made any progress. Tim

Coach Tim:
It was a great suggestion but prior to receiving it, for some reason, the darn box just decided to behave and the problem has not occurred since. Don't understand it but I am keeping your suggestion for solution handy and hope I can find it if this problem comes up again. Thanks for being there. Bugsy
