HI,
The sound drivers on the laptop are missing . Install the latest sound drivers from the folllowing link
http://tinyurl.com/yu5kvy

Download

1. Click Download Now, to download the file.
2. When the File Download window appears, click Save (Windows XP users will click Save) this program to disk and click OK. The Save In: window appears.
3. From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop.
4. If the Download Complete window appears, click Close. The file icon appears on your desktop.

Install

1. Double-click the new icon on the desktop. For example labeled R12345.EXE.
2. The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you to extract or unzip to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R12345.EXE. (Example path). Write down this path so the executable (Example - Setup.exe) file can be found later.
3. The Self-Extractor window appears.
4. Click OK.
5. After completing the file extraction, if the Self-Extractor window is still open, close it.
6. Click the Start button and then click Run.
7. Type C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R12345 in the Open textbox and then click OK.
8. Follow the on-screen installation instructions.

I have replaced my hard drive with a SSD. The computer is working perfect except that it now refuses to play any of the audio files that it used to play.A message comes up saying the file format is no

It sounds like your sound drivers are not installed or corrupted. Does it play any sound at all? For example the windows startup sound. Look in device manager and see if your sound device is working properly. There maybe more than 1 device. If so then go to your sound properties (right click speaker icon on taskbar) and see if there is another device you can use to play sound and make that one your default choice. If this doesn't work then look for updated sound drivers for your particular device. Hope you get it working.

My laptop sound is not working

First reboot, if you sound has worked before this may help. If not try a different file or you tube video it may be that the file doesnt have sound. Third mke sure your physical button on the laptop is turned up, and Fourth the speaker icon in the bottom right hand corner, if you right click it is it muted? Is it turned down? Get a file or disc that you know has sound on it and that has played before. If this still doesnt work it is a possibility that your audio driver has become corrupt. Try looking for an updated audio driver by using either that manufactures web site or the Microsoft Custom tab when you update windows.

Delay/ whitescreen when projecting video from laptop

1.
Connect the external display port on your laptop computer to the projection system, and then turn on the projector. For information about connecting external devices to your laptop, see the documentation for your laptop computer.
1.
Set the display resolution of your laptop computer to match the resolution of the projector system. First, on your laptop, open the Display Properties dialog box by using the Display icon in Control Panel, and click the Settings tab. Then, in Screen resolution area, move the slider to adjust the display resolution of your laptop. If you don't know which setting to choose, try 800 x 600 pixels; this is a common setting for many projector systems. YOURS sounds like 640x840.
3.
If you have audio in your presentation, connect a cable from your laptop's audio output jack to the audio input jack on the projector, and then test the volume by playing a file that contains sound.
4.
Start the Player on your laptop. If you want to only display the Player on the big screen, and not the desktop background, maximize the Player or set it to play your video using the entire screen (full-screen mode).

No sound on my desktop

Hi.
It appears you need to install the drivers for your sound device.

To know if you have a sound device installed:

Go to Start - Control Panel - DobleClick System icon - Hardware - Device Manager, look under Sound, video and game controllers

Is there a yellow icon ? Yes ?
you need a software called driver to activate that device.

Hope this help.

I can not play audio files

In the windows media player go to > now playing - more options - devices - speakers then changed the audio device to use your soundcard.

Also, uninstall any other players, they usually interfere with each other.
