You will need a jumper cable to go from the box to the radio then the antenna plugs into the box at the antenna connection point. Now for DC power you will need at least some 12 gauge wire with a fuse connected to the pos and the neg. Then you connect it to the fuse box and a ground . I personally would not use one ,if my radio cannot out do yours then so what.If you can't hear my radio within 12 miles of me then I will talk to you when you get closer. You want to hook one up thats your option but I don't even want one.

it can not be tuned to go high or low you need to add switches for that and then realign the radio.

How do i know if my palomar 250 is a high drive or low drive amp

If it is made by Palomar and it is a small amplifier, you can bet it is a low drive. Check those transistors. It could have the new Mosfet 655's in which case definitely low drive 3-6 watts input max.

Trying to find the right size linear amp to hook up to my Galaxy dx 949. I want max in/outputs. tired of being talked over. I have a Golden Eagle 150w amp, but have not connected it

That linear will be good for 100 watts of clean power. It has two MRF455 transistor which are 60 watts a piece. The cb will drive it with the carrier or dead key reduced to about 1.5 to 2 watts but i suggest that you read the linear's power while adjusting dead key not exceeding the 100 watts pep with voice. An NPC mod would be a good addition to get the modulation up with a low dead key.

Before you start the projection make sure you antenna system is in good condition high SWR will smake you linear in a hurry.

In factory condition 949 galaxy with a 3.8 carrier it will drive a 667v TexasStar. It is a low drive linear that will end all disputes as to who has more power. 8 out of 10 birds that escape will die of cancer withiin 72 hrs. Ok could not help myself. I would not suggest that unless you just want to damage other peoples receive. The v is for variable power. Hope this was of help.

Will 25 amp power supply pull 250-linear?

Yes it could, but... but it also depends on your antenna, what antenna are you using. Do not upgrade the power of your radio unless you know your antenna can handle the output power.
