No Cycling Hi My Asko dishwasher does not go through the normal cycles. Irrespective of the cleaning cycle selected, all it does is fill with water and then drain....nothing else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It sounds like you have a bad circulation pump. If it is getting full, then sits for a while, then drains then the circulation pump is not running. In order to access it you will need to pull the dishwasher out of its hole and then remove the lower cover that is held on by 4 or 6 screws in the back of the machine. when you pull that cover you will see a pump at the very back center. Run the dishwasher and after it fills, check for 108v (or more) at the two wires of the pump connector. If you do not havwe 108 volts or more, then you have either a bad control board or a broken wire in the bottom front of the door. If you do have power, then you have a bad circulation pump (most likely) To change the pump you either have to cut the 2 non-reuseable clamps off without damaging the 2 short hoses and replace them with regular worm clampr when you put it back together (available at any auto parts store) If it is the newer style pump the all you have to do is push the release tab and rotate the motor about 1/3 turn clockwise or counter clockwise look at the new pupm when you get it for which way to turn it and the location of the release tab) and then rotate the new one into place, making sure you put the oring seal back in and greased it with some dich soap. The onlty place i know of to get parts for these in the states is american appliance in Denver, Colorado and the # is 303 777 0993. Post back if you have any questions and good luck!

I have a problem with my Asko D3350 Dishwasher, can you help? On startup the diswasher does its normal cycle and pumps excess water out and then fills the dishwasher with water to the correct level of...

Hi Tony,

I have the same machine (D3350) and almost the same problem.

Mine starts each cycle fine - pumps out - fills - rinses - pumps out tht first load and then does not fill again. If I manually fill with a bottle (about 2 litres) for each subsequent cycle then it washes as well as it ever did.

Seeing it fills once it cannot be the water supply, nor the solenoid that operate the water supply. So, my guess is the control panel.

Like you I would love to simply take advantage of the PC Upgradeable featurewshich seemed so attractive at the time of pruchase.

Asko 1350 fill problem.

Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve if found to be defective.

Now, if the valve is ok, replace the control.

In most cases, this will be a control fault.

Does not appear to be cycling water or pumping

You have created a suds lock condition with the wrong soap.
Take a shop vac if possible and vacuum out all water and suds. No shop vac, bail and wipe with a towel.
Then fill with COLD water from the faucet. Start the was cycle a few seconds. Then DRAIN. Repeat with cold water, wash then drain several times until the suds are clear.
You will know the suds are clearing each time you refill with COLD water and start the cycle. It will begin to sound like it is washing and pumping rather than humming.

Water in drain pump for ASKO D5122XXL dishwasher

Yes, Asko dishwashers can leave a small amount of water in the sump after a cycle completes. At the beginning of most cycles the sump is pumped and new water added.

ASKO 1605

Hi Guys
My dishwasher this morning has desided to not work correctly.
Its a ASKO 1302 about 20 years old. It has been a very good machine.
Over the last couple of weeks during the washing cycle, the dishwasher has been making a loader noise than usual.
1. Today, the dishwasher timer, travels all the way through its cycle, but very little washing take place.
2. Soap power is still there, plates not clean!!!!
3. Water is hot
4. At the end of the cycle, there is no water in the dishwasher.
5. I'm thinking the problem could be the pump needs replacing.
What do you think?
