Voip adapter with router (Linksys SPA-2102), no dial tone, no phone light, all the sudden. I have tried everything to get it to work, resetting, new lines, EVERYTHING...Everything works but the phones. And yes it is plugged in and set up right...it just stopped working all the sudden.

I disconnected my incoming phone line and connected my VOIP line 1 to my R11 wall phone jack. This feeds the signal to all phone jacks in the house.

I also use the VoIP to fax and send data using my PC modem.
For Fax
Use *99 as a prefix for any number you are faxing or dialing to.

You can check the settings of router with below method. You can also configure it with below method.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. Then click on WAN settings set it as your internet service provider settings enable DHCP Then click on wireless and enable it. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. If the phone rings but no dial tone, possible phone unit is faulty. I suggest to try a different phone unit to verify if it's faulty. If the other phone isn't working too, then report the issue to your phone provider.

My phone has no dial tone.

Check if the cordless works on a normal telephone line,Plug in another instrument to see if you get dial tone,light.
That's it you should know what is causing the problem.

We have power but no internet or phone lights are coming on.

do you get dial tone if you lift phone handset?

If so, Do you hear the voice menu after pressing ****?
If not, please unplug the Ethernet cable, and press **** again, then check if you now hear the voice menu?

Just in case you are able to access the IVR, reset it back to factory default settings. Dial 73738# and press 1 to confirm the reset.

power on your linksys
then pick up the phone connected to that linksys
no dile tone required
dial ****
when it says configuration menu
type 73738#
if ask for password then nothing can help you buddy
and if it says press 1 to save then press 1 and your device is reset with factory default

Password of linksys spa 2102

The Linksys comes with web admin access disabled.

To enable it, pick up phone, dial **** then 723646# , when asked for password, dial 78778839# , when asked for value dial 1# then dial 1 to save.

Then, go to »192.168.0.1/admin/voice/advanced , enter user and password.

If you did a factory reset, you will need to call Linksys technical support.
