Not reading disc

hello,

if your Curtis SDVD9000 9 is not reading any disc, there could only be two problems.

1. the disc you are trying to play might not be compatible and;

2. the lens of the player might be weak;

the solution for the first problem is for you to try another disc,

and for the second problem, you try to clean the lens with a lens cleaner or you replace the lens completely.

take care

I put a dvd in and after a minute of cycling it say ''no disc''. Its a Curtis sdvd7015 portable dvd player and the dvd is clean.

I've had similar problems with a number of my DVD players in the past. What always worked for me was to fiddle with the DVD door, i.e., press in slightly, press up or down, hold in place until DVD starts playing

From Curtis' website: "Q: Where can I purchase a replacement DVD battery?
Replacement portable DVD batteries can be purchased for $30 from Curtis International Ltd. Please mail a certified check or money order (payable to Curtis International Ltd) to 315 Attwell Drive, Etobicoke, Ontario M9W 5C1, ATTN: Customer Service Department. Weigh you options....a new portable DVD player can be bought for not much more.

DVD PLAYER

Hope it was the non-acetone type of polish remover - acetone will melt plastic !!

Invest in a laser eye cleaning disk - the kind with the tiny brushes.

OK what type of file format are the files in on the disk you are tying to play?

IDM-1731 does not like .AVIs.

Check your documentation as to what type of files your player can actually read and play.

Sorry I'm not more help.
