I have a Panasonic PT-51hx40b projection TV that powers off when I try to turn it on (will have sound but no picture for a sec before it turns off). can hear a hiss from D broad i believe or somewhere right around there
Not sure if the transformer is bad or something on secondary side is pulling the voltage down--if replacing it cured the issue you did good.
If not try to disconnect at source on secondary side to see if with no load the voltage comes up.
Looking for either the xfmr to be bad or something shorted pulling the voltage it creates down.

That is indicating that the convergence circuits have shutdown the set. You will need new Convergence ICs. They should be STK392-110 or STK392-120 either number works the 120 being the better chip. I will post a link where you can get the new ICs and they provide step by step instructions with pics so you can do the repair yourself. You will find your IC numbers under the section titled Convergence ICs just click on that and you will find your STK numbers.

I have a Panasonic PT-47WXC43 47 in Rear Projection. It went off, on picture, no sound.

Power on the set, listen for afaint buzzing sound as the set tries to fire up. If you do not here it then your lamp driver, or ballast is most likely faulty. Also make sure you have the door and all covers back in place and secure. And make sure you insatlled an orginal panasonic lamp because some generic will not work.

how can i check my Convergence ICs or power supply don't know what anything should read.

Okay so I got the service manual for my Panasonic PT-51HX40B and started trouble shooting. I started with T broad and found that broad number T2801, (one of many POWER TRANSFORMER) was faulted on the hot side of the broad the part number is ETP28Z439AF and cost $20 with shipping
The coil of the transformer on the hot side was shot, I pulled it just to be sure and got an OL on my meter. waiting on new part will keep posting on it. I stopped trouble shooting till i get new part.
