My voltage stabilizer that I have been using for about 6years now with my refrigerator suddenly started going off and on by itself thereby affecting the effectiveness of my fridge.

Voltage stabilizer that you are using is older. Voltage stabilizer that you are using is older. This problem is occurs cause of power fluctuation. Check the connections, Looking at the regulator from the face, the three terminals are V+ in, Ground (which is V- in and out) and the last one is V+ out. If it's backwards, it can indeed get hot. http://www.batterybhai.com/category/voltage-stabilizers/5

How to measure the voltage on TV

Voltage measured on DC scale, black cable multitester / avometer put on a negative path or can be slipped on the silver wire in the tube that is not disposable wrapping.

Next, measure the voltages are available:
  • For 180v voltage can be measured on the positive pin elco (10uf/250v) in PCB RGB tube.stick pin red wire multitester

  • Voltage 110v for TVs 14 "-21" and 130v for 25 "-29" in the B + FlyBack Transformer (FBT), find the path there is elco 100uf/160volt. measure on a positive foot elco.
  • For 12volt voltage, please measure at the foot of the right edge of IC 7812.

  1. For voltage 5V, please measure the right foot of IC 7805.
  2. For voltage 33v, please search at the foot of VT in tuner.
  3. To measure 90v-300v, scale use DCV 250.
  4. To measure the 12v-40v, use a scale of 50 DCV
  5. To measure the voltage of 1V-9v, 10 DCV-scale use.
  6. How to measure the voltage on the yoke and in plyback is;
    • From the yoke horizontal = Fcc 110v DC, 1000 V. AC voltage can be removed with a red plug in output and in use as dB meter.
    • From the yoke pertikal 24 DC current model, except for disposable coupling C = 1 / 2 Fcc. While it could be IC 120V AC (with dB meter)
    • At Fcc FBT kolector; 110v DC, AC voltage = 1000 V..
    • At Fcc FBT filement / heater = 5V-5, 5V AC.
    • In the FBT 20-32k anode voltage V measured with 40kv HV probe is added to the multitester 1000 V. DC.
    • Voltage others depending on model and type of TV. 180v out there (for RGB) directly from the regulators, transformers, Video Amp taken from FBT.
    • There are 24V and 46v vertical FBT, also 12-18V depending on brand and type.
    • Voltage 600 V DC and focus around the screen 400v DC.

Thus tip n trick from me (AGUS YUSTIARA ), hopefully useful.

Delonghi problems

Mains voltage in Australia is 230V 50Hz. Travellers from most nations in Asia, Africa and Europe should have appliances that work on the same mains voltage as Australia - therefore you will not need a voltage converter. Notable exceptions to this are Japan, USA and Canada which uses 100/120V 50/60Hz.
If your country does not use appliances within the 230V 50Hz mains voltage range, you will need to purchase a voltage converter. This will transform the voltage from the power outlet into one your appliance can use. You will also need a power adapter.

1989 f350 7.3 replaced voltage regulator and alternator same time. still not charging

you should have 12.5 volts with engine off at battery and 14.4v with engine running and charging system working. Is alternator light on? please rate, thx.

There are different versions and 1989 is too old to get on line. here is 1993, so take with caution. Also check the fusible link.

Battery Positive Voltage (B+) Output
The generator (alternator) output is supplied through the Battery Positive Voltage (B+) output connection to the battery and electrical system. I Circuit
The I circuit, or ignition circuit is used to turn on the voltage regulator. This circuit is powered up with the ignition key in the RUN position. This circuit is also used to turn the indicator on if there is a fault in the charging system operation or associated wiring circuits A Circuit
The A circuit, or battery sense circuit, is used to sense the battery voltage. This voltage is used by the regulator to determine the output. This circuit is also used to supply power to the generator (alternator) field coil. This circuit is connected back to the load distribution point and is a protected circuit. S Circuit
The S circuit, or stator circuit, is used to feedback a voltage signal from the generator (alternator) to the regulator. This voltage, typically 1/2 battery voltage, is used by the regulator to turn off the indicator.

What a 2-range voltage tester used for

This simple, inexpensive tester is described by the manufacturer as a 2 range voltage tester. It appears to have two ranges of voltage that it can test for the presence 110-120 or 220-240 volts in a circuit. There is nothing to interpret, the device will indicate one or the other and whether AC or DC.

This could be useful for testing electrical circuits in homes in the US & Canada (and other places that use 120/240 utility system voltages). It will not help with finding split circuits, and will not be able to accurately display the actual voltage on a circuit. If there is a problem of a back fed circuit, passing 60 or so volts, the unit may indicate either no voltage, 110 volts or some other indication of voltage; but can not indicate how much voltage is present.

This device function more like a test light than anything else, and an inexpensive meter for $20 would provide much more information and have greater capabilities. Electricians do not use test lights or devices like this because not enough information is provided. I know you're not an electrician - but this tool is probably only good enough to let you know that some voltage above x number of volts and below 130 or more than 130 but less than 250 is present - that's about it.

I couldn't recommend the use of test light or testers like this to anyone. Just my two cents. Good luck!

I need a new battery for my Gateway MD2614U. It now has a 10.8 volt battery, but I see two different voltages available, including a 14.8 volt 4000 mA version. Can I use either one I chose, or should I buy...

You must use a battery that provides the same voltage required by the laptop. You cannot use a higher voltage battery on a lower voltage laptop, or you might fry the laptop's electronic circuitry.

Voltage tester shows red light on all the 3 cables(including the ground) of a 14-2 home circuit,

HOLD ON!!! The Klein 69127 is an automotive tester to be used for voltages between 6V-24V, AC or DC. The higher voltage in your home could possibly damage the unit as well as yourself. It would be safer for you to use the non contact tester to verify voltage Klien NCVT-1

Usage How To

To measure the voltage at an electrical outlet requires the use of a multimeter. Always test your test equipment for proper operation before use. Set the multimeter to AC voltage. The markings may appear as VAC, AC V, or a V beneath a wavy line. Choose the AC voltage closest to the voltage you will measure. Standard current in home and businesses in the USA is in the range of 110 to 120 volts. Some circuits used for equipment such as dryers, air conditioners, electric stoves, ovens and other large equipment may use voltage in the range of 220 to 240 volts. These heavy-duty circuits can be identified by their non-standard outlet plugs. While grasping the insulated portion of the probes (never touch the metal conductor during testing) place one probe into each of the two terminals. The multimeter will display the voltage. Carefully remove the probes, being careful not to touch the metal part of the probes to anything or each other. The voltage should typically test in the range of 108 to 121 volts for most circuits. If voltage is higher or lower, professional electrical service may be required.
