Bad news, the LCD screen is about 80% of the cost of a TV or monitor. You will be better off just purchasing a new unit instead of looking for a screen for that one.

LCD is one of the expensive part of a Monitor. maybe you can buy a new one because if you choose to repair it, it cost the same when you buy a new one.

I have a 52" Samsung Series 5/ 530 Model LCD Flat Panel and I cracked the screen. The screen on the outside is not broke nor scratched but something hit it and now when I turn the tv on- it looks like i hit it with a hammer. How is this fixed? Can I do it myself?

Most LCD's just went down in price by around 2-400 dollars. I would suggest buying a new one. The cracked screen might mean that the liquid will ooze out and get worse and worse as it ages. However, it may only have a crack and not get any worse than it is now. If you can live with it and it doesn't get worse, you can view it that way for another 10 years and be fine.
The fact that the LCDs are cheaper now and you only have a 37 inch, you might consider getting a larger one that you have had your eye on for a long time. (Note: even though I am a firm believer in LCD's over Plasma, plasmas are a few hundered dollars cheaper and if you know your children are prone to breaking things... it might be the way to go.)
Replacing the screen is possible, but more costly than the new T.V.

We have 42 inch Vizio LCD's in refurbished condition at the repair shop. The glass LCD's are around $230.00 for 42 inches. This is only for the glass panel and doesn't include the CCFL assembly which you probably don't need as its just the glass that's cracked.
Have a professional service technician install it as the LCD is very thin and extremely fragile and can easily crack under it own weight if handled wrong. Plus there are ribbon cables that require skill to attach and detach successfully on the control driver board.
