Blue Halo, Tried to adjust on Projection TV

I tried to adjust the green (worked fine), the red (worked fine), but no matter how I adjust the blue, I still see this horrible blue halo around mainly white images on the screen. Could you tell me what the problem might be? Is this something I can fix myself? Thanks!

I have the same problem. first i had convergence problem which is now fixed when i replaced STK ICs.i can adjust the colors but the blue halo around while or blue images still remains. i guess its the fault of blue lenses....it has three lenses...red,blue and green i guess and halo may be due dust settle in these lenses. may be have to replace the blue one or coolant of blue may have to be replaced. i am trying to change it. once done will let you know. thanks.

I have a 60" Sony HD TV, and after a lighting storm I now see a blue streak running down the left side of the screen. I am not sure if the storm caused this issue or not, or if that was just a coincidence. Any fixes??

Sony kp51hw40 has green shadows and on edges in pictures and blue flickers on and off, tried all adjustments including screen, focus, and menu??? no luck

The CRTs in this model of TV had a problem with internal leakage. The blue was usually the first to show the symptom (flicker). Because all 3 CRTs are connected to the same high voltage source, when 1 acts up, the other 2 suffer as well. You need to replace the Blue CRT. However, this TV has some age on it... 1 tube will lead to 2 tubes, and 2 tubes to 3... They only last about 7 years. If you love the TV, replace all 3 (about $200 each). I recommend replacing the Red and Blue first, adjusting the geometry and convergence to the original Green. Then replace the Green, adjusting the geometry and convergence to the new Blue and Red.

Red Halo persists after coolant replacment & Converg. Adjustments

If you bought a kit with instrucitons contact the company you purchased it from. They will help.

My guess is that you did not change the fluid in the blue and green tubes. You may have accidently done the red instead.

Convergence is off - Blue and Red are fine Green will not line up

On most units, the Green is constant and the Red and Blue are adjustable. Here are 2 links on how to manually adjust the convergence. There is a menu option using the remote control. Once there, you will find step by step procedure on how to adjust the convergence. Hope this helps answer your question. All the best!

TV picture is red.

Normal color picture is composed with 3 colors R-G-B (Red-Green-Blue). Picture turns Red means: Missing Green and Blue colors (many reasons: bad contacts, projector tubes dead, and other...). Try to give some "tabs" to diagnose ... I don't know what is the type of your Projection TV, how long you owned it, to have more idea.

Blurry screen KP61hs10

Yes, Convergence settings should be tried first before any color adjustment or any fluid changes are done. Remember that there are 3 colors to notice. Red, Green, Blue. The Green is the only one that you can not move with an adjustment The Red and Blue is ligned up on green. Some cases it does matter how linear the Green color is across the board, just how close you get the blue and red on top of green is what matters.
