SOURCE: Cuisinart DCC2000 quits brewing after 1or 2 cups

I have the same problem with the exact same coffee maker I have tried pushing the 1-4 cups button. That worked for a couple weeks, now it is back to only brewing half the water in reservoir whether I push the 1-4 button or not. It is very annoying.

SOURCE: Cuisinart DCC2000 quits brewing after 1or 2 cups

Finally, I got my coffee pot to run through without stopping several times. To fix it I had to run vinegar through eight times! Never before has it taken so many cycles to clean out a pot. It is still spluttering a bit so today I am going to get more vinegar or maybe even CLR and run it through a few more times.

SOURCE: We have a CBC-1600 10 cup coffeemaker. after

The CBC-1600 is designed differently than you might expect. The stainless steel, insulated carafe is designed to keep the coffee hot instead of a hot plate keeping a glass carafe hot. Some people like that style better (including me). Some people - like my dad - don't think it keeps the coffee hot enough.

Your coffee maker is working exactly as designed. The carafe itself is designed to keep the coffee at the same temperature as it was brewed.

SOURCE: Cuisinart coffeemaker DCC-450 switch keeps turning off by itself.

There is a defect with your coffee maker. It uses a momentary switch, but is supposed to stay on for 30 minutes. I believe there is a common failure due to heat sensitivity of an IC on the board. I suspect this is a timer chip. See my other postings on this.

My cuisinart coffee maker shuts off after brewing cycle. What. Do I do to fix this oroblem

Believe it or not, this frequently happens when there is calcium scale build-up in your coffeemaker's water line. The coffee make will make it through the brewing, but then shut off if it thinks the flow was too slow--which is nearly always due to built up calcium scale.

All you have to do is run a few pots of white vinegar through your coffeemaker to get all the scale out of the waterline; I'll usually mix half water, half white vinegar and run the brewing cycle (no coffee in it, obviously). You'll see the scale come out in your coffee filter. You can run the same pot of water-vinegar mix several times, and then run a couple of extra pots of *fresh water only* to rinse out the descaling vinegar mix from the water line.

Voila! your coffeepot will start working again just like it should.

Clean instructions

First, let me clarify what the red light indicates.

A solid red light indicates the cleaning cycle is in progress. A blinking red light indicates the coffeemaker is off, but due to be cleaned. When the coffeemaker is due to be cleaned, the red light will continue to blink while the coffeemaker is off until the cleaning cycle has been completed fully. The entire cleaning process takes about an hour and a half. And, it is not intuitive. So, here are my instructions.

With the coffeemaker off (with the red light blinking), pour four cups of pure white vinegar (no water added) into the reservoir. Don't short the amount. You'll need four cups to complete the cycle. Remove any filters, but leave the strainer basket in place. Tap the "select" button three times until the red light is on (and stays on, not blinking). The cleaning cycle now begins. It should take between 45 minutes and an hour to complete. Don't be concerned about the 30-minute long pause during the cycle when nothing happens. This is intentional and part of the cycle.

After the cleaning cycle has completed, get rid of the vinegar. Rinse out the strainer basket and the coffee pot. Run a full pot of clean water thru a regular brew cycle (with the pot and basket in place, of course). Then, dump the water, rinse the pot and basket again, and run another full pot of clean water thru a regular brew cycle. Dump that water too. And, you're done!

After brewing coffee does not stay hot.

Unplug the coffeemaker for one full hour.
When you replug it, go to Auto-Off - change the time from "2:00" to "4:00", and then brew another pot. Immediately after the brewing is done, set the coffeemaker back to Auto-Off and see if your problem is resolved.
If not, it may have deeper problems. These coffeemakers have a 3-year warranty - call Cuisinart to see if you are still in-warranty.

Won't make full pot

Okay, try this, make sure that everything is cool first, then take a turkey baster full of hot water and vinegar and shoot it backwards through the coffee maker...where the water falls on to the grinds. After that, try running either a commercial coffee pot cleaner or just again, vinegar through the brew cycle with no coffee in there. Try it two or three times, there may be calcium buildup in the filter and pump. You could also try that CLR cleaner, but make sure you rinse the pot out really good, and run a few cycles of just water before you drink anything from it.

Hope this makes sense and helps you out!

Try cleaning it with pure vinegar. 3-4 times just keep running it through the machine.

Coffee maker shuts off too quickly

It seems this coffeemaker insists on shutting itself off after 4 hours,
or whatever "auto-off" time you've programmed in. The only work-around I've found is to switch it to "Brew" and cycle the power switch off and on every time you pour a cup. That will start a new
4-hour timer cycle. Since the pot's still hot, it will go quickly to the
"brewing done" state and render 5 beeps.
