The light that flashes when i put the battery in, it isnt that light that is flashing.

Every rechargeable battery deteriorates thoughout it's life of usage. may be it's time to buy a new one. Sometimes the terminals on the battery get in touch with metal things and short the circuits within.

it your batter light is blinking a red light then you should call up casio's technical service and they'll send you a new one:)

My mom and stepdad had the same problem less than one week after I bought it for them. I called Casio Technical Support, and they were awesome! They just needed the cradle number and the serial number to send them a new battery. I was on the phone less than 5 minutes.

Hi I am Vortah The red light is usually an indicator that the battery is charged however in this instance as you are saying it isn't the battery has possibly gone short and you will need to replace the batteries . They have a type of internal memory and only charge a certain amount of times before they no longer accept charge and merely overheat during charging .. But I have to say it may be possible the charger is faulty as if the internal rectifier that charges the battery has gone short that may also bring the red light on in some chargers .. so try the battery or as I would do take it along to your nearest dealers and get them to check it . it may save you money in the long run you could be buying a battery you still cant use when you actually need a charger .. Battery problem. Well known problem with the NP-20 battery. It can be repaired by connecting it to ~4-4.5V 1-1.5A for about 5-10 seconds and then charged normally with the charger.
Of course a new battery will be better.
