Possible Lamp Sensor Problem

Moved a Sony KP-65WS510 TV today. After transport, it turned on just fine. But after about 15 minutes, it turned off by itself. Now, whenever we try to turn it on, it has no picture and only the timer/standby light keeps blinking. Is this a lamp sensor problem?

The picture when we first turned it on looked doubled and a bit wavy. Later, when it turned off, the timer/standby light blinked six times, still does.

Your model is a three CRT projection which doesnt have a thermal fuse. What are the symptoms of the set? Does the power indicator blink? If so how many times is it blinking?

This problem appears due to convergence output ICs failure located on D board in tv. There are two big black ICs that need to be replaced, soldering work is required.
Let me know are you handy with electronics stuff repair and can replace parts in circuit board to provide you more technical info OR local tv repairman will do this job for you.

4-090-881-11 SCREEN (57), CONTRAST (KP-57WS510 ONLY)
4-095-924-11 PLATE (57WL), DIFFUSION (KP-57WS510 ONLY)

Green flashes then tv turns off

or a new lamp. you could first replace the lamp.
the screen might work fine for a couple of seconds, but then it fades away or deteriorates. This means the lamp is going bad.
