MITSUBISHI 65 INCH HDTV, GREEN LIGHT BLINKING, WILL NOT POWER UP

Hi,
Like several others about whom I have read, my Mitsubishi 65 inch HDTV has a flashing green light by the power switch but will not turn on. I tried the reboot and reset procedures to no avail.
Can you help please?
Thanks,
Frank in Jacksonville Florida

    I have a 2002 ws-65909 and the green light beside the power button that basically says timer comes on when I hit the on off switch but turns off after about 2-3 seconds before the tv comes on, so i never actually receive a picture. I can try this over and over and it does the same thing. Does anyone know what this is that i need to replace, or will it go away after time. My email is [email protected] if anyone has any suggestions. Thank you.

    Green timer light displays (no blinking, just constant) and tv will not stay on long enough to power up. I do not get a "power on" light, but electrical power is definately getting to tv. Consequently, I cannot get a screen to turn off timer.

Good Day;

There are four (4) caps on the 'DM' board that need to replaced. Parts: 680ufd 16 volts, orig are rated at 1,000 ufd. The 'DM' board is the big silver item on the left hand side of chassis, looking at back side, loosen all cables to slide whole chassis back.
Replce board then shield. Good Luck, big IRISH. c81a2-3/ c81b2-3, biggest black caps on board.

2001 Mitsubishi 65 inch HD1080 rear projection. When I turn it on, green light comes on for 2 seconds then it turns itself off. No flashing green light like others I read about.

Ok, try this first. After attempting to turn on set after it shuts off push and hold the MENU and INPUT buttons at the same time on the front of the set for 10 seconds. This should acccuate the self diagnostics function in the micro and the power LED should start blinking a two sequence code. That code will narrow things down.
