Need software I had to reinstall everything on my computer, but I cannot find the CD for this unit to reinstall it in my computer. How can I get another Installation CD so I can use this product again. Thanks for your help. Also, I need an instruction book for this too. Lost both in a move to a new home.

From there input the make and model of your unit and you will be able to download any software that came stock with your computer...

If you purchased the software separately you will need to contact the developer of that software to retain a new copy. You may or may not need proof of purchase and almost defiantly will be required to have a serial number ready.

If you have a teen from 12-16 around your house, ask him how he steals music then ask him to search for burning software eg NERO for ya and let them do your dirty work. However I do not suggest this as it is illegal...

The aioc.exe may be corrupted and needs to be repaired or reinstalled. You will need the installation cd to repair the software. Just insert the cd in the computer to repair it. First, you need to find the original installation disks that came with your computer. There's a Dell System Recovery disk that will wipe your computer and reinstall everything as if it had just come from the factory. Maybe you haven't removed your virus completely, some viruses (like Brontok.B/Worm ) disable some administrative features, and unable you to install new software...
So, if you can't remove the virus, do a fresh install of Windows ... Of course, which came with your laptop. Or I you aren't sure how to do that, call someone with a bit more experience. It's not a big deal .

Try removing the dvd software and reinstalling it. I had this happen on a Sony Vaio and then after the computer crashed and I reinstalled everything, the dvd player worked. I tried downloading updates for the WinDvd software, but that didn't fix it. If the cdrom unit is bad, then it is a lost cause and too pricey to replace, unless you get a scrap part laptop.

May be your windows 98 is damaged and need to be re-installed. Even if you reinstall windows 98, there are more chances of your getting your documents back. I meant to say that just reinstall and to not format. you may get your windows running again. You should have your windows 98 installed with DirectX 9.0C and internet explorer 6.
