Check to see if the lamp connectors inside the lamp compartment didnt get pushed back inside the set. If they are still there secure inside the lamp compartment then you will need a new ballast which you can get from www.tvrepairworld.com

Contact Mitsubishi with the proof of this and demand a new TV set. Maybe it is the service shop causing this, your warranty should also be extended for the time you were out of the use of the TV set while waiting for parts. If this does not work, the state attorneys office should be able to get you a new set or at least this one repaired. Good Luck

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WT-42311 DLP Bulb Replacement

Your access should be a a panel near the back or side. You will see that it is somewhat easily removed and should have maybe one or two screws. You will see the casing to the lamp. Go ahead and remove it. Now unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a new one. There is not a lot of screws holding it together. It's a fairly easy process once you find the lamp. You should see the lamp once the panel is removed.

SOURCE: mitsubishi wd-73736 bulbs buzzing noise

The Ballast that ignites the Lamp could cause the Lamp to fail and/or cause a buzzing noise. That being said, the Color Wheel in the Optical Block assembly could also cause a similar symptom. If Mitsubishi would be willing to help with the Lamp cost, I would call a local Mitsubishi repair facility to install it and see if the noise is still there and find out exactly what is causing it. Mitsubishi Customer Service Phone number is 1800-332-2119.
I hope this helps,

SOURCE: I have a 57" mitsubishi

You probably have a bad lamp again I hate to say. These lamp are so critical when being moved. If after you atttempt to power on TV then red light shows, press menu+input on the front panel and hold for 5 seconds. Front timer LED will blink a 2 digit error code five times then stop. Code 34 and 66 are lamp errors, and if you read code 66 the lamp is broken. Good luck

My replacement bulbs keep burning out within 30 days. I took a closer look and there is a small square piece of glass that sits next to the lamp housing. It looks as if the light from the lamp goes through...

Something is definitely wrong if you are consistently only getting a month out of a bulb.

Either something is overdriveing the power to the bulb (unlikely) or there is a vibration or something is intruding on the bulb itself.

Good luck and let us know what you find on this.

Mitsubishi dlp tv won't turn on

My family's house once had a older model Mitsubishi DLP TV that went out (which I found out they are famous for). The problem was the projector bulb had died. Your problem is either that or a ballast problem (something more complicated that I do not know how to solve).

Open up the bulb housing on the back of your TV and check to see the condition of your current bulb. NOTE: the bulb housing contains mercury so handle with care. Also, if the bulb is broken/dead, there might be shattered glass sitting inside the bulb housing.

The only way to fix it was to buy a new bulb (search amazon for wd-65837 lamp" you will find a few results). This temporarily fixed our problem. However, for some reason, the aftermarket bulbs do not last anywhere near as long as the original one. So if you do end up buying a replacement bulb, buy something with a good warranty. If this doesn't work just send the bulb back.

Hope this helps!

Mitsubishi wd 60735 dlp tv red lamp light

A common issue and it may be your problem is dust and dirt inside the unit---the set intakes air from the front and exhausts it out the rear==I have seen several of these sets where removing rear cover and taking stthe set outside and blowing it with a air compressor clears the issue.

Fans and other critical items that get clogged or coated with a moderate amount of dust will cause this issue.
