Try the soft reset with the remote: menu,1,2,3 and enter.

First see if it does this with a DVD etc connected--rules some things in and out.

Most of these have two resets, the soft and the hard-----if it has the soft with the Mitsubishi remote: (set on) Menu, 1,2,3 enter.

I would not do the reset if no issue with a DVD etc.

check to see if the lamp connectors inside the lamp compartment didnt get pushed back inside the set. If they are still there secure inside the lamp compartment then you will need a new ballast which you can get from www.tvrepairworld.com

check the ic in the color circuit or the resistor that connects to the collector of the kine transistor.these components can be faulty.probably it is a module so you might need to replace the module that has on the color circuit check the transistor also.good luck.
