Factory setting. Do a reset to this TV, and then check. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Connect RCA wires (yellow, red, white) from the box's "out" to the tv's Input 1 or 2 on the back input panel of the tv set. If you don't have RCA's you may use a RGA- jumper wire (cable wire made into a 4 ft segment by the tech or buy a short cable wire from the Walmart, Target, or Goodwill store) Connect this wire to the "cable in" on the tv and the other end to the "cable out" on the box.ADDITIONALLY make sure you have the right input settings selected on the tv with the input selection you make with the wire connection you choose.

The set should have lights on the front that blink when it does this--
Lamp is possible
lamp Ballast is possible

The set also has a error buffer that can be called up if shuts off--blink code on front of set.

Another common issue is set will play for a while and shut off--

which best describes your problem?
