If the cd won't open. It may be that your cd-rom is malfunctioning. I would go to the website of the Manufacturer of the Camera and download the driver/software from there.
Also, to check and see if your cd-rom has a problem, try to boot up a different disk.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

I am trying to download movies off my friends portable hard drive onto my laptop but when I plug in my friends hard drive into my laptop, my laptop don't recognize it and nothing comes up???

Your laptop's usb port may not have enough power to keep the portable hard drive running.

You may require additional power to the portable hdd by using a usb cable with 2 usb connectors.
or use a USB port that is powered.

My computer using Win XP SP2 and toshiba MK8025GAS hard disk (80GB) is not booting up due to virus problem. I remove the harddisk and used connected it using SATA/USB cable to my Win Vista laptop. I run...

If it were my computer, I would purchase a new 320GB disk-drive, and connect it. Then, I would re-install Windows onto this NEWER, BIGGER, FASTER, disk-drive, and then install free anti-virus software: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials and then use that SATA/USB cable to copy files/E-mail/music/contacts from the "old" disk-drive onto the new 'C:' drive.

It's like having the police returning your STOLEN car to you. You should:
* check for sugar in the gas-tank
* check for cut brake-lines
* check for lack of oil in engine, transmission, differential
* check for lack of antifreeze
* check for drugs hidden in the door-panels or trunk (or anywhere else)

You should *NOT* just assume that your car is OK, and drive it away!

Similarly, you can NEVER be sure that you have deleted 100% of the "damage" done by the computer-virus. So, a "fresh" install, from "trusted" media, is the "best practises" methodology.

I have recently bought an apple imac and the disc for my so speaky hdmi wont fit in it is there any software i can download

Find a computer that can fit your disk, and copy the files from the disk onto a CD-recordable disk.
Then, put the newly-recorded CD into your iMac's CD-drive.

How do i reinstall windows on to a new hard drive on my n310?

Do you have the repair disks that came with the laptop? If so you can just install the new hard drive into the laptop, put the disk in and run it, it should reinstall everything onto the new drive.

I want to put in new hard drive e1505

i am assuming that your current hard drive is working, you just want to replace it with a bigger one.

you will need two things 1) a way to connect your new hd to your system (such as an external usb enclosure)
2) the software to properly clone the disk image and put it onto a new drive

go onto google and search "clone hard drive" you will find numerous free (or free for 14 days so you can do this before they expire) programs that can do this

here a few links with more details (plus links to the software)

It wont load windows xp all of a sudden, payed and down loaded windows xp recovery disk when i went through that it was runing a different program which let go into my hard drive but wont run any of the...

It could be possible if the hard drive isnt too far gone, are you able to use it at all? have you tried to hook it up to a different laptop and see if you can access it from that? You'll probably be better off getting a list of anything that you can re-download and storing the irreplaceable stuff such as sensitive documents onto a disk. If you can do this then just reformat the hard disk and get it over with. You stand to be in for quite a headache trying to copy all your files off your hard disk and making sure all the files arent corrupted. This stands especially true if your hard disk has malware or a virus.

Hard Disk Repair

ummmm. the hard disk drive (aka harddrive) doesnt burn disc, and doesnt have a disc slot, i think your talking about the cd drive, it that case, the easiest thing to do is find a old harddrive and take its drive, repairing the drive takes to long,

BUT.... what you can try which sometimes works for me is remove the cover of the drive and try it then, sometime the cover can get bent and it puts pressure against the disk and stops it from spining

BUT IF YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT THE HARD DRIVE then something isnt right, try ordering a ubuntu cd from www.ubuntu.com (there free) install it through windows and then boot into it and setup your software sources and go to add/remove and check the option on the list that says "all open source" or whatever and search gnome, find gnome baker, install it, and try burning a disc then

WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY IS

it may not be a hardware problem at all, it may just be a software issue.

hope i helped at least a little

Windows Failed to load because Kernel file is missing

try pressing f8 when you load vista and then select start normally
if that doest not work and gives you the same error then restart and press F12 as soon as you see the dell logo, put in the vista installation disk that you got with the laptop and select boot with disk option.

try and repair or the recovery option .

NOTE : IT IS RECOMMENDED TO TAKE BACK UP OF YOUR FILES BEFORE USING THE RECOVERY OPTION .
