Sungale PD580 The player works, but the screen keeps going from black to color and will not stay on color. Is there a, adjustment for this

Its RCA cable with three 2.5 m jacks : red, white, yellow ... Use color matching while plugging in jack.

Your tv and DVDs have color coded wires white,yellow and red..just mscth them..most have words like video or audio out and in...would be out to TV on the DVD in on the TV pretty much self explaining..good luck

Its possible one of two thing have occurred, you have maladjusted the G screen control on the high voltage screens and focus assembly. Turn down (counterclockwise) all three of the screen drivers. Adjust each until a light appears in the each lens, red green and blue. Go slow or lines will appear if set too high. If all three lamps stay lit after this adjustment the look at your screen with color level down to zero using your remote and the picture menu. Adjust the three color drives to get a good black and white balance appearing on the screen. Now adjust the color level from the picture menu back up to normal range.
If you still get green diagonal lines after this adjustment then I would suspect that the green lens has a heater to cathode short in the tube.

I need a battery for a Sungale DVD player Model Number PD580 how can I get one.

It sounds like the circuitry which actuates the color drives for the screen are not working, this would ba analogous to adjusting for a B&W picture on a color TV you have color but the screen shows black and white. I would get a schematic for this set and measure the voltages on the color processor that connects to the screen since you know that the external jack has color. If possible I can help you troubleshoot this, if you need me to help out.

I have the same unit and was getting a "wrong disc" message and it would not play and disc I put in it. Emailed Sungale support and they said to unplug the unit for "a day or two" then plug it back in and it should work normally. I did that and it works fine now. Don't know if your problem could be related or how long you were leaving it unpluged but try the above and see if it helps.
