Hi my name is Mike Houston a Social Media Representative of DISH Network, if you are trying to find the input on your TV to view DISH programming, it will depend on the connections. If you are using RCA cables (red, white, and yellow) it should be on video 1 or video 2. By using the component cable (red, blue and green) it should be component 1 or component 2. If you have any questions please e-mail me; [email protected].

SOURCE: HD Hookup on Dish Network 2nd Location

In order for you to receive HD broadcasting you must have a HD-TV, otherwise you wont get the picture in HD. Also I should point out that you need to make sure that the signal itself is being broadcast in HD.

Will a 7yr old dish receiver work today on dish satillite

With an antenna that is pointed correctly to satellites 110 and 119, the receiver will function, but will not have access to paid channels without authorization from DISH (which you can get by calling 1-800-333-3474). You may have to run a check switch test after connecting to antenna by accessing the menu, system set-up, installation, check switch.

How do i upload the operational directions for my 500 satellite computer on my computer

Sony Satellite Dish Antenna Operating Instructions

Operating a Sony satellite dish is a process that first requires correct dish placement to ensure strong signal reception. Additionally, the satellite receiver must be installed, and only then can you use it to put the dish in operating order via the use of its signal meter screen. Fortunately, you do not need to be a professional to complete these operations properly.

  1. Initial Sony Satellite Mounting
    • Look around for a suitable mounting area for your satellite dish. This mounting area should be free of any debris and also allow for a flat mounting area. It's best to utilize a hand-held level to measure and make sure that your Sony satellite dish lies flush with the mounting surface beneath it. Also, look to the skies above before settling on a mounting area, as obstructions such as trees, power lines and tall buildings can block signal reception for your Sony satellite dish. Once a spot is chosen, go ahead and crudely aim your Sony satellite dish to the southern sector of the sky above. This will save you some time later when you return for further adjustments

I have a 322 dish receiver there is just too ports to hook to and i have ant.+ cable and sat. to hook to it anyhelp would be welcome. thanks

Heychuck68102, my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and I was going over yourpost and I see where you want to connect a cable wire plus you're satellite. Ifyou have a TV that will allow for a RCA connection you can run the RCA cable tothe top red, white and yellow inputs and run the antenna directly to theTV/Antenna IN. Then you will be able to connect the cable to the TV CH ¾ input.I will send a link to help with these steps, http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/how-to-set-up.

The TV is on analogue and I cannot change it to digital.

i just had this happen when my son sat on the remote and i have dish network too. i don't know if this will work for you but this is what i did- go under menu and go to antenna and make sure it is set to cable. then take your dish remote (as long as it is programmed to your tv) and press the satellite button at the top till it lights up for a second or so and if there is a second there where it switches to your satellite signal and goes off again, you have to take that one second to press the guide button and it will stay on your dish connection. wierd, but it has worked twice now for me.

Combining output from dish home distribution with ota antenna

You should have your system setup in the following manner below:

You also will only be able to receive the HD locals with a HD OTA antenna. It is possible that you will need to turn the satellite off in this room to view the OTA's effectively.

Also you should use a splitter as depicted in the picture by the red boxes to combine signals of this frequency. The blue box is the diplexer on the incoming satellite feed and the black box is the seperator that most dual tuners use. If yours does not utilize this device you will have another cable coming from the outside of the house to the back of the receiver. The location of the ports on the back of the receiver in my diagram may differ in position on your receiver so obviously connect them to the proper port. I hope this ressolves the issue and there is no need to seperaate the signal at the remote tv as it will only be a duplicate of the same signal you have connected already as OTA and the TV2 backfeed are of the same frequency range.
