In order to use the panorama feature in any Olympus camera the xD card you are using must be an Olympus card. If it is any other make of card panorama will be disabled.

At least yours is working : P Mines been out of commission for three or so months so hmmm...It's in the main settings menu (button on the lower left at the back of the cam) and it allows you to "format card", then you confirm and it will delete everything on the card (reformat it) Sorry, you'll have to do a little search in the menu by scrolling down through the settings but it shouldn't be too hard to find. Hope that helps. If mine worked I could give more clarity...again : P Back to looking for a fix for mine : ) Good luck!
The SP-570UZ does not have a filter thread; therefore, lens filters cannot be attached directly to the camera.
Filters with 55mm diameter can be attached to the SP-570UZ via the CLA-10 Lens Tube Adapter, sold separately. However, it is not recommended because vignetting may occur in the corners of the image when the camera is set to wide angle positions.

The bad news is that xD is slow and only used by Olympus and Fuji, with Fuji in the process of abandoning it. Eventually Olympus probably - hopefully. Your camera is better off using a sd card. Try that.
And, could it be that your camera only takes a sd card?
Panorama shooting lets you create a panoramic picture, using the OLYMPUS
Master software from the provided CD-ROM. An Olympus xD-Picture Card is required for Panorama shooting. If the card is a Fuji xD card then the panorama feature would be disabled to you.
In order to shoot panorama images with this camera you must use an xD memory card specifically an Olympus type card. If you are using Fuji or Sandisk panorama function will be disabled.
If I remember my last Olympus camera it would only work in Panorama mode with an official Olympus memory card. No third party cards would enable that feature. My instructions read "An Olympus xD-Picture Card is
required for panorama shooting." If you are using an official Olympus xD-Picture card, there may be a problem with your camera.
Yes, third-party brand xD Picture Cards can be used to record images. Please note that an Olympus brand xD card is necessary to use the Panorama function on the camera.
